The Lamp of Condensed Meaning, a Commentary on the Difficult Points of the Guhyasamaja. The Lamp of Condensed Meaning, a Commentary on the Difficult Points of the Guhyasamaja. Herein lies The Lamp of Condensed Meaning, a Commentary on the Difficult Points of the Guhyasamaja. Homage to the Bhagavan Manjushrikumarabhuta! Compassion and wisdom, Like all the Buddhas, are non-dual, The sublime Like a guide on the path, Whose body manifests in various forms, Homage to Manjushri! In order for the students to understand well, And also for myself to remember, This commentary on the difficult points of the Guhyasamaja is composed. Now, let us enter into the text itself. The four lines beginning with "who" indicate the expression of praise and offering. The noble Manjushri himself resides as the essence of the body, speech, and mind of all the Buddhas. To him, the teacher himself pays homage with reverence in body, speech, and mind. The four lines beginning with "profound" indicate the vow to explain. The profound and vast name of the noble Manjushri, Based on the general tantra of yoga, Is explained in order to transform the power of others into one's own benefit. The sixteen lines beginning with "sixteen indestructible bindus in the center" indicate to whom the question was asked, by whom the question was asked, and for whose benefit the question was asked. Among them, to whom the question was asked indicates that it was asked to the three kayas. The seven lines beginning with "bindu" indicate the dharmakaya. The two lines beginning with "secret mantra" indicate the sambhogakaya. The two lines beginning with "Buddha" indicate the nirmanakaya. From the four lines beginning with "bodhi" indicate who asked the question. The one line "for the sake of the dull-witted, the order is spoken" indicates for whose benefit the question was asked. Having thus indicated the meaning, let us enter into the text. Among them, it is established in three parts: by whom, where, and how to act. Among them, first, "In the presence of the great Vajradhara, Abiding in the guise of a teacher," these two lines indicate by whom the action is to be done. The teacher should be learned in the five sciences, Knowing the ten aspects and being fearless. He should possess five conditions: outer and inner bathing, outer and inner protection, outer and inner clothing, outer and inner anointing, and sitting after cleansing the place and seat with mantra water. The six lines beginning with "meditation and conformity" indicate the place and the practice.

The place is indicated by five lines, divided into two: the place of approach and the place of accomplishment. The word "etc." implies the collection of the place of accomplishment. There, sweep and decorate with flowers to make it pleasing. Seek a good companion and begin the approach. This one line vows to engage in approach. Protecting oneself and the entire earth, etc., four lines indicate protecting against obstacles such as gatherings. Transform Vajradhara into the syllable Hūṃ. Visualize a blue Hūṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hūṃ) in the heart, fierce and wrathful, holding a golden vajra and bell in the right and left hands, from which the syllable "ma" arises on top of a sun disc, and from that light arises, visualizing it as a vajra ground, canopy, awning, and net. Those who delight in expansion should learn from following the net of illusion or following the vajra peak. Here is a collection of the guru's instructions. Then, with great affection, please them with fire offerings. These two lines indicate the manifestation of the equipment for gatherings, etc. In general, there is sweeping and burning, and blessing each with mantras and mudras. Generally, sweeping and burning is done with incense water that has been fully recited with Vajra Food Offering or Vajra Peak, which is general sweeping. Burning impure things, etc., with the mantra and mudra of Vajra Fire is burning. Blessing each with mantras and mudras is done by first performing the vajra dance with offerings of sesame, barley, kusha grass, rice grains, good fragrance, and white flowers, and then making the mudra of offering with the vajra palms open, reciting "Om Ara Paca Na Dhih" (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओं अरपचन धी, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ arapacana dhīḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om Arapacana Dhih) or "Om Vajrasattva Hum" (Tibetan, Devanagari: ओं वज्रसत्त्व हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ vajrasattva hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om Vajrasattva Hum) three or seven or twenty-one times to bless them. Similarly, flowers, incense, lamps, fragrances, perfumes, divine food, and tormas, etc., are all visualized as extraordinary divine offerings that transcend human actions. Similarly, fire offerings are also called food offerings, arranged and blessed according to the scriptures. First, diligently approach, this line and the following fifteen lines indicate the manifestation of the field of support, that is, first
