United in play, dancing with the union of light, pure like a cloudless sky and the rays of a full moon, supremely clear, great bliss, the mind utterly at ease. Whatever arises, that precious arrow of virtue, drawn by the bow of love, is shot forth to all beings; that is the hero. This is a concise summary of the four places of practice in yoga. In the ocean of existence, dwelling with the mouth agape is the crocodile of affliction; the waves of suffering churn, bottomless, manifesting fear; from both the great white lake of peaceful bodhi, this excellent, precious boat of the teaching that liberates. With excellent Sanskrit, my wisdom and joy, with heartfelt compassion, diligent effort, may this virtue liberate beings, the victors of the past.
