Like refined gold, thoroughly examine my words, accept them not out of mere respect. Thus it is said, regarding complete liberation, to consider it inconceivable, regarding impure causes, to consider it inconceivable, regarding a mere fraction, to consider it inconceivable, regarding extreme excess, to consider it inconceivable. These are the signs of the deluded, which the wise should abandon entirely. What should be accepted is the supremely secret inconceivable, namely, secret inconceivable, patience inconceivable, means inconceivable, sleep inconceivable, transference inconceivable, and result inconceivable, these six. Secret inconceivable is the guru's instruction. Patience inconceivable is transforming the five poisons into the path. Secret inconceivable and so forth, although some may be gathered into the five poisons, are nevertheless meaningful. How to transform the five poisons into the path? Whatever is the emptiness of one, that is the emptiness of all. Thus it is said, just as the emptiness of desire is, so are hatred and so forth. In that, attachment arises to one agreeable object, such as external and internal forms, but since it is not established as color and so forth, it eliminates the extreme of examination. Just as one knows by inferring from the wind, so too, knowing through the unceasing gate of awareness is not annihilation. Between those two, there is also no object that is the nature of both, therefore the fourth is that which is to be measured by subsequent cognition, and at that time there is no elaboration whatsoever. In that, without abandoning desire, it is utterly pure. Hatred and so forth are also spoken of, they are not mutually abandoned and contradictory. By realizing the realm of phenomena, all realms are made free of poison, thus it is said. As previously stated, emptiness should be applied everywhere, and the method of searching for the five poisons, like searching for peace and hatred, should be observed everywhere. When it arises within, today, the object of my hatred, whether I have generated it, or others oppose, or others fight each other, or hatred arises, whatever it may be, these are the limbs for attaining supreme accomplishment, therefore hatred

When feelings arise, pray that they become like a piece of paper. When feeling it, make the hatred inconceivable. If hatred does not arise that day, then recall that you have previously generated hatred, or hate each other, or others have generated hatred towards each other, and make it selfless. In this way, pray in the same way every day. By doing this, the poison of hatred will not be able to penetrate. Once you know that hatred has arisen, you should also know it in the same way as you know other poisons. For those with strong hatred, if they make hatred their yidam, it will be easier to deal with it, and it will be easier to deal with greed and so on. Similarly, whichever affliction is the strongest, first make it the yidam. Then, as before, transfer it to other afflictions. For those with the same or lesser degree of affliction, you can also first make any one of them the yidam, and then gradually transfer it to the afflictions that are easier to deal with. Why? Because if a beginner does not specifically deal with one affliction, the five poisons will emerge in large quantities, leading to discouragement and unwillingness to practice, thus leading to laziness. These should not be shown in advance, but should be decided according to the situation when practicing, which is what was previously said to be "decided according to the situation", that is, to treat that affliction as the yidam. Liberating from the fear of the five poisons and entering a state of fearlessness is extremely secret. It should be taught to very good vessels, not to those who rely solely on words and indulge themselves. All inconceivable things: tormas and recitations, mandalas, rituals of fire and water, mudras, umbrellas and other offerings, prostrations and circumambulations, statues or paintings, writing scriptures and so on, yogis should not cling to the nature of everything at all times. Do not indulge yourself in sleep, just like a lotus closes. It is closed by being covered by shadows, just as the power of dispelling shadows makes it bloom. After the light disappears, due to the power of ignorance and thick earth, just as pure breath gathers in the center of a mirror, gradually gather and become ignorant. Discern with wisdom and focus firmly on one place. Unfamiliarity leads to absent-mindedness, familiarity leads to non-duality, which is the result of diligent practice. Guhyasamaja
