What are the names of the noble Manjushri? What are the names of the noble Manjushri? What are the names of the noble Manjushri? If asked, as many as there are names for the distinctions of phenomena, whether they are contaminated or uncontaminated phenomena, worldly or transcendental phenomena, conditioned or unconditioned phenomena, entities or non-entities, mind or mental appearances, whether they are known from worldly treatises, from the Small Vehicle, from the Great Vehicle, or even from the Great Vehicle's even greater Vehicle, the secret mantra tradition, all those names of phenomena without exception are names of the noble Manjushri. Therefore, all of them should be known as names. Here, it is asked whether the names of uncontaminated phenomena are suitable as names of the noble Manjushri, since the noble Manjushri himself is of the nature of having attained the uncontaminated. But how can contaminated phenomena become his names? Since the noble Manjushri is of the nature of having completely exhausted all contaminated phenomena, their names should not be his names. Although the noble Manjushri is of the nature of uncontaminated phenomena, there is no contradiction in this reasoning. This is because the noble Manjushri is the nature of all contaminated phenomena, pervades them, is confused in them, delights in them, knows them, speaks of them, is completely purified in them, has mastery over them, and is born from them. These ten reasons should also be understood as applying to all phenomena of samsara and nirvana. How is he the nature or essence of all phenomena? As it is said in this very text: "Supreme is the nature of all things, Holds the nature of all things, Unborn dharma, manifold meanings, Possesses the essence of all dharmas." And: "Various cognitions with various forms and meanings, Various consciousnesses endowed with various continuums." And: "The suffering of the three sufferings."

Such as "What suffering ceases," and "The meaning of ten aspects is the meaning of ten meanings," and "Meaning accomplished, wishes fulfilled, abandoning all pervasive thoughts," etc., it is said in such contexts that it possesses the nature of all things. Also, in the context of "various names and forms of meaning," it is said that the nature of mind, intellect, and consciousness, along with appearances, is Mañjuśrī. Similarly, in the context of the cessation of suffering among the three sufferings, the three sufferings are said to be suffering itself. It is also said that suffering is the origin that accomplishes suffering, and cessation is the cessation. These are also noble Mañjuśrī. In the context of ten aspects being ten meanings, ten types of self-grasping are explained, and ten types of antidotes are also explained. Thus, the incompatible and the antidote are noble Mañjuśrī. Like this, because it is proclaimed that the nature of all dharmas is noble Mañjuśrī, all those who praise the qualities in this way will also become his names. So, how does noble Mañjuśrī pervade all dharmas? Here it is said, "Immutable, universally traveling, pervading one," or "Abides in the hearts of all Buddhas," it is said. And "Abides in the minds of all sentient beings," etc. Among these, it pervades in four ways, namely, dharmatā, jñāna, compassion, and activity. Among these, it pervades by dharmatā, that is, all dharmas are empty of inherent existence, without self. For example, in other sutras it is said, "Apart from the dharmadhātu, there is no dharma whatsoever." Therefore, the dharmadhātu is noble Mañjuśrī, so it pervades everything. It pervades by way of wisdom, that is, the dharmatā of the dharmadhātu is merely self-awareness, and all dharmas also gather into self-awareness, and there is no dharmatā that is not an object of wisdom. Therefore, it also pervades by way of wisdom. Compassion is also activity; if dharmadhātu and wisdom are united, then great compassion is also never interrupted. Similarly, it also pervades by activity; wherever these three dharmas gather, there is activity.
