The Method of Accomplishment of Maheśvara's Face, Glorious Holder. The Method of Accomplishment of Maheśvara's Face, Glorious Holder. In Sanskrit: Mahiṛṣānanayasādhanam. In Tibetan: The Method of Accomplishment of Maheśvara's Face. Homage to the Bhagavan Maheśvara-faced One. With reverence, the lama and then Yama, the slayer, supreme Mañjuśrī, the nature of illusion, limbs flourishing with bliss, engaging in the benefit of others, holding a hooked knife and other symbols, with wrath, unequaled, with nine faces dispelling fear, to that one I bow with my head. By the method of accomplishing the destroyer of Yama, whatever the wise one desires, the empowerments and other attainments, this is the sequence of that method of accomplishment, for the sake of children understanding, and for the sake of constant remembrance, may the excellent ones be pleased even with the speech of children, and I shall write for the sake of generating joy. Then, a true and excellent explanation shall be given. The method of accomplishing Vajrabhairava, all the deities themselves, are exceedingly terrifying. There, residing in a suitable place such as a charnel ground, one should begin the method of accomplishment. Then, the place should be described: a charnel ground and the danger of a river, and a single tree, and a single sign, the base of a road, the top of a mountain, an empty dwelling, and the house of a mamo, or the place of a god, or a battlefield, or a city, or a monastery, or a village, and so on. Here, the yogi who has received the great empowerment of Vajrabhairava, endowed with generosity and morality, striving for the benefit of sentient beings, endowed with love and so on, adorned with faith and learning, purifying the mouth and so on, that compassionate one sits comfortably and gently on grass and so on. In the lotus in his own heart, from the first vowel transformed, he contemplates the circle of the moon. On top of that, he beholds the form of the letter dhīḥ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning: དྷཱིཿ,धीः,dhīḥ,智). Then, with its rays, he urges the Tathāgatas, Bodhisattvas, Vidyādharīs, Wrathful Ones, and so on, who dwell in the limitless and boundless realms of the ten directions, at the inconceivable limit, and having invited them, he causes them to truly reside in front, and for the sake of increasing the accumulation of merit, he offers.
