Second, Explanation of the Chapter on the Mind of Enlightenment. Second, Explanation of the Chapter on the Mind of Enlightenment. The total number of verses contained herein is one thousand nine hundred and ninety-two. For those who are suitable vessels, in order to closely show the cultivation of the mind of enlightenment, preceded by the rituals of place and support, etc., therefore, after that, it is said, "Chapter on the Mind of Enlightenment, from there," etc., and the word "request" is added. That is the nature of body, speech, and mind, and is also the master, therefore it is the Great Vajradhara. Those are also the Tathagatas, and also all, therefore they are all the Tathagatas, with Vairochana Buddha and others making offerings, that is, making offerings of the nature of the unsurpassed, etc., and after prostrating, making requests to the Bhagavan. "Supreme of body, speech, and mind, please, Bhagavan, explain the essence," thus connecting. The essence is the nature of the Dharmakaya, that is, wisdom is the main thing. That itself is the cause of the accomplishment of the body, etc., which is the main thing of the indivisible and excellent means. Therefore, it is said to be the supreme of body, speech, and mind, because the result is closely attached to the cause. Therefore, this is the mind of enlightenment, which is the nature of means and wisdom, that is spoken. This is of all the Tathagatas, therefore it is said to be of all the Tathagatas. Since it should not be explained to those who rely on conduct, etc., it is secret. The mind of enlightenment is the ultimate truth, therefore it is the most excellent of all, it is unsurpassed. After that, adding "The Bhagavan spoke thus," the rest is easy to understand. The so-called "also knowing with the mind's complete calculation," means: If the Bhagavan, in order to obtain the fruit of perfect enlightenment, bestows upon us the great mind of enlightenment's oral instructions, then it will become a great benefit for sentient beings, such is the thought. The so-called "your mind" is that which obtains enlightenment, it is the nature of the Dharmadhatu without beginning or end.

Thus. "The form of the body is such" means that, in suchness, the body, like an image with the nature of one taste, is the essence of vajra. "Body" means that all three realms, with and without afflictions, and stable and moving, are the body. From this, the Tathagata Vajra Vairocana (རྡོ་རྗེ་རྣམ་པར་སྣང་མཛད།), the body of the three realms, abides in all vajras. Thus, the equality of all Tathagatas is particularly focused upon, and becomes silent and speechless, this is what is said. "Like mind" means that it is hard, stable, and without emptiness, not to be destroyed and not to be cut, having the characteristic of the first vajra. Like illusions, it is merely an appearance, and in ultimate truth, it is without self-nature. "Mind" means the form of the appearance of the three realms. "Like speech proclamation" means that speech itself is proclamation, therefore it is speech proclamation. It is speech vajra, and it is like the echo of a valley, and has the characteristic of space. "Speech also" means that because all the mind and speech vajras of the three realms abide in it, etc., it is the speech of the three realms, the generator. Then, etc., connecting, indicates the meaning of hearing, and through meditation, it is understood, and the mind becomes extremely joyful, therefore this verse is specially proclaimed, this is a special proclamation. Because it says, "One who possesses the Dharma, hearing, and thought, should diligently apply himself to meditation." Ema (ཨེ་མ་) means wonderful. The sound "O" (འོ་) means "for what reason." From where does Samantabhadra arise, it arises from the continuum of the good and excellent beings to be tamed, therefore it is Samantabhadra. Also through the doors of the forms of Brahma, etc. The body, speech, and mind of the great Vajradhara, who possesses such excellent qualities, are unborn like space in ultimate truth, therefore this is unborn, which is the Dharmakaya. Its union is the continuum of yogis, it should become its nature. What arises from it is the form of the Sambhogakaya, etc., from space arise signs and forms.
