Second, a detailed explanation of the stages of complete purification of the mind. Second, a detailed explanation of the stages of complete purification of the mind. Now, in order to show the complete solitude of the mind, it is said, "I prostrate and pay homage," and so on. Here, the three prostrations are distinct. "Prostration and homage" also generally shows prostration to the three minds. To praise and prostrate in this way means that by praising and prostrating in the order shown in this way, there will be a prostration again in the conventional way. To show that it does not exist in the state of showing the ultimate truth, it is said: "To whom do you praise and with what do you praise?" It is not like that. If you ask what it is like, it is said: "How," and so on, one's own wisdom is "well seen," which means that in the same way, seeing the way to pay homage to one's own wisdom as not different from oneself. "What" refers to what wisdom. Therefore, since there is no difference between the one who makes prostrations and the object of prostration, it is as if there is no prostration. In particular, it is said: "However," and so on, "without attaining omniscience" means until the wisdom of understanding all things. "That" means to become one. If you ask to what, it is said: "Covered by darkness," which means that it exists from being perfumed by the habitual tendencies of ignorance. If you ask where beings obtain it from, it is said: "Light will be obtained through grace," which means that from the kindness of the lama, after obtaining the key to how to transform, respectfully and continuously practicing for a long time, that state of becoming one will be able to obtain the nature of making the realm of experience of the wisdom of omniscience, the three existences, appear. In order to show that it will be explained as a way of paying homage from the three wisdoms, it is said: "Emptiness," and so on, emptiness is appearance, extreme emptiness is the increase of appearance, great emptiness is the attainment of appearance, and all emptiness is luminosity. Here, too, it is shown because it is the occasion of cause and effect. In order to show the objects of cause and effect, it is said: "From the combination of wisdom and means, perfection will be nearly attained," which is the appearance of wisdom.
