Chapter Seven: Cutting Doubts About the Condensed Truth of Ultimate Reality. Chapter Seven: Cutting Doubts About the Condensed Truth of Ultimate Reality. Then, the luminous one asks, having doubts about what concerning the ultimate truth? If there is no doubt about the conventional truth, as it is, that has already been explained above. Now, this is a timely word. Completely pure means being free from grasping and being grasped. In terms of ultimate truth, the ultimate truth is the unerring truth. May it be known through the kindness of the master, which is to say that without relying on the master, nothing can be known. As an answer to that, the conventional has been discussed above. What then is the ultimate truth? Without a body means being separated from the body, and the body itself is completely pure. Without example means being without example. Whatever has measure also has an example, but this is without measure, so there is no example. Being free from all composition means transcending the activity of composition. Knowing by oneself means it is not something to be known by others. From where is that known? It is known from the mouth of the guru. Is it not possible to know from others? Without the oral instruction of the guru, it is not possible to know, it is easy to understand. That is also because it is known from examples. For example, like a butter lamp and so on, it is easy to understand. This reasoning means this argument, whatever is devoid of argument will never determine the object. Therefore, whatever is determined by whatever, that is its argument. Because it arises from the form of sound, whoever wishes to realize the ultimate truth must learn from sound. Why is that? Because sound is the nature of expressing meaning. Then, if that is the case, will it not become the object of expression of sound? No, it is only through symbols that meaning is understood, but there is no expression of meaning in this at all. Therefore, sound and meaning have no connection whatsoever in their own characteristics. However, through this, the mark of indicating meaning is made, so the beginner should first practice. Therefore, sound also depends on the guru's oral transmission, so first the guru should be pleased. What does sound indicate? Without beginning and without end, which means without beginning and end.

Being apart from the past, it means: the beginning is not established, the end is not established. The so-called "without things" means that things are the grasper and the grasped, and being apart from it is being without things. Therefore, for that which has no things and no characteristics, it is being apart from things, it is the nature of emptiness. Then, through what means, by what is it shown? It is shown through the words of the conventional truth that have real characteristics, relying on the words produced by causes and conditions, and through it it is shown, and it itself is like an illusion. What is the form of the ultimate truth? Being equal to space is being similar to space. Unfabricated means being apart from causes and conditions and having no maker. Immaculate means being apart from the defilement of discrimination. How is this known? From what is said in the Sutra of Showing in the Same Way, etc., the meaning has already been explained above. Then, with what power is it related? What is to be shown is that there is no duality of cause and effect, that is, being apart from the duality of cause and effect. Then, what should the disciple who understands this do? "After receiving the teachings taught by the guru," this indicates this time. The ritual described in the tantra is not observing mudras, etc. The so-called "what resources are there" refers to utensils, wealth, and retinues, etc. What is it used for? "Having made the tsok khorlo," that is, to make the mandala of the tsok khorlo. Then, midnight is a special time. The mudra consort who has been well trained refers to mantra-born ones, etc. The body is smeared with fragrance, that is, smeared with incense, etc. With what is it adorned? With all ornaments, that is, anklets, etc. To whom is it offered? "Offered to the guru," that is, offered to one's own teacher. Secret means secret offerings. Other offerings are offerings with incense and flowers, etc. What should the disciple do with the actions of the body? It is easy to understand that the boy places the woman's right thigh on his own thigh. What should the thought be? "With the mind of saving from samsara," that is, relying on this, thinking that oneself and all others should be liberated from ego and existence. Faith or thought.
