From the time of the first memory, things should be regarded as having self, objects, and permanence, etc. In order to dispel doubts about this. This passage explains the intention of this treatise. The other parts are easy to understand. "Dream," from "listen" to "promise of prophecy," is a vow to make a prophecy. Skandhas, dhatus, ayatanas, indriyas, etc., refer to the five skandhas, eighteen dhatus, twelve ayatanas, and five indriyas, which are all related to concepts. Where does the concept arise? The concept arises in the two consciousnesses, namely the consciousness of sleep and non-sleep. "Having become a great void, who is sleeping?" refers to the state of obtaining appearance. "The power of the wind causes dreams to be seen" refers to consciousness riding on the wind and going to a place, and then seeing dreams. "After waking from a dream, there is no other difference" refers to there being no difference between waking from a dream and sleeping. The other parts are easy to understand. If someone asks, what is explained in more detail from other scriptures? The Sutra of Complete Purification of All Karmic Obstructions, etc., is quoted. Bhikshu (Tibetan: དགེ་སློང་, Sanskrit Devanagari: bhikṣu, Sanskrit Romanization: bhikṣu, literal Chinese meaning: beggar), refers to the tamed one. What do you think (Tibetan: ཇི་སྙམ་དུ་སེམས་, Sanskrit Devanagari: yathā manyase, Sanskrit Romanization: yathā manyase, literal Chinese meaning: as you think)? This is a question. "When you are constantly thinking in a dream while sleeping" is like when you are awake. "Have you experienced the act of desire?" refers to asking whether you have experienced the act of desire for objects, things, and wives, and the answer is "I have experienced it." Asked again, "Do you not know the mental act of desire that you have done?" The answer is, "This is not an act of the body, because it encounters different objects. Therefore, that is the experience of the mind, and desire is only the mind." "I have experienced it" refers to answering by understanding its meaning. Do you see any difference between the mind in a dream and the mind that is not asleep? refers to asking with the thought in mind that there is no difference between the dream and the mind that is not asleep. The answer is, having understood the questioner's intention in mind, "I have not seen any difference at all." It means that there is no difference between the two. Asked again, "Have I not said that all dharmas are like dreams?" refers to saying that I have said so before. The answer is, "That is so," which is to acknowledge it by way of recollection.

Sapa. If someone asks, what is "like a dream"? Because it is not understood. What is called "like a dream" is inseparable from a dream. If asked, what is inseparability? It is non-duality. What is non-duality is the absence of distinction between the two, not independent of each other, not different. Inseparability is absolute oneness. If asked, is oneness in concept or in the cognition of illusion? It is not oneness in illusion, because it is dualistic and unrelated. If asked, how is it oneness in concept? Like this, both are appearances of the mind and are illusions. To show that this is not the view of other schools, the Guhyasamaja and other scriptures are mentioned. "O Bhagavan" is Tibetan. "Thus it is said" is to speak closely. "For example" is to give an example. Bodhicitta is secret Bodhicitta. If asked, what does it do? "It generates the wisdom of all Tathagatas" means that all wisdom arises from it. Alternatively, Bodhicitta is the desire to benefit sentient beings, including aspiration and practice. "It does not abide in the body, does not abide in speech, does not abide in mind" because it is neither the place to abide nor the thing that abides. If asked, does it abide in other realms? It does not abide in the three realms, namely the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm. If it does not abide, is there birth? There is no birth, because what does not increase is called "no birth." The other parts are easy to understand. If asked, are these scriptures intentional? No. To supplement this, the Wisdom Vajra Samuccaya and other great yoga tantras are also quoted. The mind is appearance. What arises from the mind is the expansion of appearance. Its great yoga is the attainment of appearance. The samadhi of great bliss is the illusory body. If asked, why is this so? Because the metaphor of illusion can be used to illustrate it more closely, it is called the illusory body. The Buddha fields as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River indicate the number of this illusory body. These words such as "illusory" are to explain this definite word in detail.

The rest is easy to understand. Conventional (truth) is that which possesses causes and conditions. Because it is true by its power, it is the conventional truth. Cutting doubts is the essence and definition, as well as the divisions and causes, as well as the names and the time of meditation, as well as the examples and actions, as well as the characteristics and distinctions, as well as the power and the ultimate measure, as well as what it is directed towards, as well as the Sutra and this Tantra, as well as the extensive explanation of this, as well as the Tantra and other concepts, because this cuts off doubts about reason, it is called that.
