Just meditating on this [suchness] will lead to attainment. The so-called "just meditating on this [suchness] will lead to attainment" means that after truly receiving the oral instructions from the guru, one only meditates on this [suchness] and focuses on the ultimate truth, one can attain this state. The Vajra student asked: Bhagavan, I have some other doubts: Why do I sleep for a long time, why do I abandon the shell of my body, and in my dreams go to the Heaven of Thirty-three, or other places, experiencing the five desirable qualities, and then come back to this place, and why in my dreams do I receive the fruits of seeing good and non-good? Similarly, is there any difference between the state of sleeping or not sleeping? Or is there no difference? The Vajra Master said: Great being, well done, well done! In order to dispel the doubts of those who view and grasp the beginningless, self-existent body as real, and in order to clearly explain the blessings to me, it is excellent, excellent that you ask about the characteristics of dreams! Therefore, through the door of dreams, all the deities' bodies described as images, each becoming self-aware, should be thoroughly understood by following the teachings of the tantras and sutras, listen with a focused mind. Skandhas, dhatus, ayatanas, indriyas, etc., the two kinds of consciousness gather completely here, becoming a vast emptiness, which is sleep. Due to the power of the wind, one will see dreams. There is no other difference between dreams and wakefulness. Because of universal delusion, desiring the fruit of dreams, beings sleep day and night, and because the earth element is dense, they sleep for a long time. Due to the actions of unripe fruits, the wind will enter this life again. If the fruit ripens, this wind will quickly go to another world of death. Just as the Victorious One who dwells in the ten directions, even though his body has no legs, bones, or flesh, he enters the realms for the benefit of sentient beings, and performs actions with the body of a serpent. Similarly, the mind of sleeping and waking is a net of conceptual thoughts desiring fruit. Therefore, all dharmas are like dreams, and neither truth nor falsehood exists. Thus it is said. In order to clarify this meaning

Therefore, in the Sutra of Complete Purification of All Karmic Obscurations, it is also said: Bhikshu, what do you think? When you universally discriminate in a dream while sleeping, do you experience the behavior of desire? Answer: World Honored One, I have experienced it. The World Honored One said: Bhikshu, do you not know that it is the mind that engages in desire? Answer: World Honored One, it is indeed so. The World Honored One said: Bhikshu, do you see any difference or distinction between the mind in a dream and the mind when not asleep? Answer: World Honored One, I have not seen any difference between the mind in a dream and the mind when not asleep. The World Honored One said: Bhikshu, what do you think? Has it not been implied that all dharmas are like dreams? Answer: World Honored One, it is indeed so. The World Honored One, in order to clarify this meaning, also said in the Great Yoga Tantra called Guhyasamaja: Hey, World Honored One, all the Tathagatas are like this. For example, the bodhicitta is like the vajra place that produces the wisdom of all the Tathagatas. That bodhicitta does not abide in the body, does not abide in speech, and does not abide in mind. Any dharma that does not abide in the three realms, it also has no birth. This is the vajra place that produces wisdom. Hey, World Honored One, all the Tathagatas do not think, "I will see this dream in the three realms." People also do not think, "I saw a dream." All the actions of the three realms are like dreams, similar to dreams, and arise from dreams. Similarly, World Honored One, all the Tathagatas should regard all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the ten directions of the world, and all sentient beings, as dreams, and realize their state of selflessness. In order to clarify this illusory samadhi, in the Great Yoga Tantra called Jnana Vajra Samucchaya, it is also said: The yoga of mind and mental events

Great bliss is the samadhi of great bliss. This is closely represented by the example of illusion. Therefore, all the Tathagatas in the Buddha-fields as numerous as the sands of the Ganges are like illusions, like the moon in water, like an optical illusion, like a mirage, like a dream, like an echo, like a city of Gandharvas, like a magic trick, like a rainbow, like lightning, like a water bubble, like a reflection in a mirror. With the twelve examples of illusion, the samadhi of great bliss can be closely represented. Thus, all the Tathagatas dwelling in the realms of the ten directions remain in the illusion-like samadhi for as long as samsara lasts, and they enjoy, delight in, and fully utilize the five desirable qualities. Possessing the qualities of omniscience, they move from Buddha-field to Buddha-field merely by their own will. Thus, remembering the suffering of samsara in the three times, those who desire liberation should strive to please the Vajra Master and obtain the oral instructions on the stages of empowerment, and then seek the methods for purifying them. The sixth chapter, which is the cutting of doubts by summarizing the conventional truth. Chapter Six: Cutting Doubts by Summarizing the Conventional Truth.
