As small as a mustard seed, The deity residing in its center, Is of a nature that is not very clear, Thus it is said. Moreover, in the Later Tantra of the Guhyasamaja, this meaning is also clearly stated: The nature of the five wisdoms is breath, The essence of the five elements is that, Having extracted it in the form of a pill, Thoroughly examine it at the tip of the nose. The various aspects of the five precious colors, Are said to be what sustains life and diligence. Having contemplated the self-mantra in the heart, Establish life as residing in the bindu, Thus it is said. This meaning is further explained in the explanatory tantra called Vajra Garland: The tip of the nose is called the mustard seed place, It is the examination of life and diligence, The place where life and diligence reside, Meditate on the five lights as the Buddhas. That which definitely emerges from the nostrils, Left, right, and both together, Slowly moving, it becomes four kinds, It is said to be the inner timing. The hidden place, the heart, and the navel, Shows the light going to the secret lotus, Constantly for half a period of time, Shows that they abide in order as they are. The element that arises from the right, Is indeed the mandala of fire, This is red in color and bright, Is the cause of Padma Gonpo (Lotus Lord). The element that arises from the left, Is called the mandala of wind, Appearing in greenish-yellow colors, Is the cause of Karma Gonpo (Action Lord). The element that arises from both, Is bright and yellow in color, Is indeed the mandala of great power, Is the cause of Ratna Gonpo (Jewel Lord). The element that is slow and without movement, Is pure and appears like crystal, Is indeed the mandala of water, Is the cause of Vajra Gonpo (Vajra Lord). The wind that dwells in all bodies, Is the one who engages in all activities, This is the essence of Vairochana, Will arise from the dying body. This clear reality of wind, Is the essence of the five wisdoms, Not the realm of yogic children, Nor is it known by logicians. Having thus shown the suchness of wind, now we shall enter the root tantra to show the suchness of mantra: The secret mantras of the body, speech, and mind of all the Tathagatas, which incite the essence of all, called the supremely secret body, speech, and mind vajra, are definitely expressed through the path of words, therefore, the abbreviated mantra is as follows.

English

It was said. Om(藏文,梵文天城体:ॐ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), Ah(藏文,梵文天城体:आ,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿), Hum(藏文,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽). The recitation of understanding the meaning is: From the good that is without essence, The Buddhas of the three times have examined, The Vajra recitation is explained. Eating alms and not reciting, Do not be attached to what has not been begged. Enjoying all that comes, Recite the branches of mantra together. This explanation is explained again. It is said in the tantra of prophecy of intention, so one should enter into it. Then the glorious great Illuminator, Again requested the pervasive Lord. The one who creates all sentient beings, This mind with various forms, Therefore, even though it has become without substance, It is well-known in the realms of existence. The mind of enlightenment is equal to space, Perfectly experiencing it, The one who does the benefit of beings, Please show it to the supreme being. Just a method of accomplishment, Knowing it, one explains the tantras. Like this, I am called a teacher, In the future, I will speak. These are my words, Saying 'yes', frightening children. That is the mind of enlightenment of intention, Not knowing the meaning as it is. Then the Lord, the Bhagavan, The great sage Vairochana, Said 'good' three times, Then said this to Vajrapani. The suchness of the meaning of non-thought, I will explain by dividing it well. With expression and with object, As symbol and as ultimate. The expression of words is common, With object is the Buddha himself. The suchness of mantra is explained as symbol, The ultimate is suchness itself. The first one is in the center of nine, Whatever is not bound by ten, That itself is called unbound, Knowing that is the supreme place. Vowels and consonants are letters, The lord of the number nine enters. Bound by A, they are perfectly joined together. Whoever knows that is the mind of beings. Perfectly endowed with the end of elements, Sixteen places including parts, The fifth is perfectly endowed with five, The four are definitely joined into three. Letters with Āṃ are long, Qualities like joining are similar to directions. It becomes pure from not being short. It is neither one nor many, Whatever letter is cowardly explained, All that are manifestly directed, Female, male, and hermaphrodite, They are well examined as elements etc. With below and above, Knowing it, one should definitely join with intelligence.
