Chapter Two: Explaining the Mind of Enlightenment Solely Approaching the Perfection Stage with Six Extremes. Chapter Two: Explaining the Mind of Enlightenment Solely Approaching the Perfection Stage with Six Extremes. ༄༅། །Thus, having shown everything in the first chapter, in order to clarify the stage of completion. Beginning with "Then," etc., the second chapter on the mind of enlightenment is taught. It should be connected to the phrase "Then, the Bhagavan, after paying homage, requested as follows." The master of the body, speech, and mind of all Tathagatas is the Great Vajradhara, and after offering and paying homage to him, he petitioned the Bhagavan. It should be connected to the phrase "Please explain the unsurpassed mind of enlightenment." The indivisible nature of the three, body, speech, and mind, is supreme because it establishes the result on the cause. It is not shown to those who abide in the action tantras, etc., therefore it is secret. Therefore, it is unsurpassed. Because it is completely liberated from all obscurations, it is the essence. Then, the Bhagavan spoke to those Bodhisattvas as follows, and it should be connected to the phrase "the complete discernment of the mind," etc. If the Bhagavan were to reveal the great mind of enlightenment in order to generate the completely pure body of the deity for us, then it would become a great benefit for sentient beings. Having known the complete discernment of such a mind, he spoke as follows, just as it is in the words. Starting from "You," etc., the mind is like the body, which is like the body vajra. The body is like the mind, which is like the mind vajra. The mind is like expressing in words, that is, expressing in words is speaking in the mouth, therefore it is the meaning of making speech vajra. Generate, that is, generate the mind of enlightenment with the indivisible nature of the three vajras. How is it generated? It is explained here. Starting from "Then," etc., body, speech, and mind are like the sky, that is, truly combined in the nature of emptiness, and unified, that is, the meaning of uprightness. That which you generate is the self of the mind.

It is like the growth of the body. If you ask how it grows, it is said that the mind is like the body, which means that the three minds together with the subtle realms, like the Sambhogakaya, the body that grows is the mind itself. The body is like the mind, because there is nothing other than the mind itself. The mind grows like a verbal expression, which means that the mind must grow like a verbal expression. For "body" and so on, the body, speech, and mind that grow in this way are like the sky, which means that the nature of the sky, luminosity, must be thoroughly combined and united into one, so that one arises as the Great Vajradhara. The glorious Vajramala Tantra also says: The essence is one's own life, there is nothing else in the three realms, the illusion is one's own life, look at it like dreaming a dream. The nature of the three realms is suchness, quickly see it as one, after the blessing it is suchness, and the accomplishment will be quickly obtained. This is the definite meaning. Emaho, etc., Samantabhadra is the Great Vajradhara, and the bodhicitta is completely revealed, which is very wonderful. In what way? In the way of no birth. This means that no birth is the ultimate truth. There, the use of the body with the nature of the mind is the way of no birth. Who says that the arising of the form of the vidyadhara, completely purified from the light, is birth? This is not the intention. How do the six Tathagatas show this samadhi with their respective bodhicitta verses? The complete enlightenment of all the Tathagatas

If self-nature does not exist, then there is no meditation, because there is nothing to meditate on. The object of meditation is not meditation. That is to say, if one meditates on something that exists, that is not meditation either, because it is separate from the object of meditation, so it is not existent. Like this, whoever thinks that things do not exist and that things exist, that itself is the non-existence of things, because it contradicts both views. Therefore, there is no object of meditation, meditator, or object of meditation, this is the meaning of the words. After completely eliminating all dharmas through distinctions such as above and below, the conditioned and unconditioned dharmas are empty, even meditating like this is not possible, because it is a view that clings to emptiness. In order to dispel characteristics, it is said, "The object of meditation is not meditation." If someone clings to the characteristics of cause and effect and meditates, that is also unreasonable, because cause and effect are non-dual. In order to dispel wishes, it is said like this, "things" etc. Like this, the result of wishing for external characteristics is also non-existent, because there is no proximate cause such as wishes. Therefore, meditating like external objects is without an object and is not existent, because the nature of mind does not exist. This is the general meaning. The non-existence of things refers to, whatever aggregates etc., those are all non-existent things, becoming objects of meditation, that only consciousness, that thing does not exist, because it is impure and not eternal. In order to dispel conventional truth, it is said, "The object of meditation is not meditation." Whatever deity body like an illusion, possessing the nature of conventional truth, meditating on that is also unreasonable, because of luminous purity. Like this, merely through conventional truth, things are not things, because the two truths are inseparable. Therefore, meditation, meditating like the two truths is without an object, because it is unobtainable, until "it is unobtainable," it is hidden. Things do not exist, there is no meditation on ultimate truth, because it is pure from the beginning. Whatever conventional truth
