Chapter Twenty-eight, explaining the inner fire offering and the single-syllable ritual. Chapter Twenty-eight, explaining the inner fire offering and the single-syllable ritual. After explaining the vows of conduct and the offerings, in order to explain the inner fire offering, Chapter Twenty-eight will be explained. Among them, "Then purify oneself with offerings," etc., "Then" refers to after the vows of conduct. The yogi purifies himself by offering to the assembly of heroes and heroines in the place and nearby places, and offers to the heroes born from illusion. Because it is illusion, it is illusion, that is, giving. For that purpose, it must arise and be given, that is, it has arisen. Another explanation is that illusion and giving is illusion, that is, the form with hands and feet, etc. Completing with this form, illusion must arise. Thus, offering the hero who has transformed into form is the ritual. So, even if transformed into such a form, who is the hero being offered? It will be explained based on the previous view, mentioning "oneself," etc. The yogi who has perfected the form of glorious Heruka, without looking at other aspects, only offers himself. Is it offering what should not be offered, or is it offering what should be offered? In the phrase "All Buddhas and others offer," all Buddhas are the offerings of those heroes and yoginis. Leaving aside other Buddhas such as Vairochana, even heroes such as the severed half and yoginis such as the extremely wrathful mother also offer, therefore, the yogi thinks that it is only what should be offered. If you want to know what will happen with that offering, then the phrases "All heroes and yoginis, the steadfast and the moving," etc., refer to the fact that by offering oneself, one ultimately offers the steadfast and the moving, in short, it indicates "offering all three realms." If you want to know what kind of yogi it is who, by offering himself, also offers the three realms, then in the phrases "Brothers and lovers are offered together," the brothers are the twenty-four heroes. The lover is...
