The Fire Offering Ritual of Hevajra, composed by Nāgpopa. The Fire Offering Ritual of Hevajra Composed by Nāgpopa. In Sanskrit: Hevajra Homa Vidhi. In Tibetan: The Fire Offering Ritual of Hevajra. Homage to glorious Hevajra! Having paid homage to the glorious Hevajra and the Selfless Mother, by the kindness of the Vajra Master, I will explain the fire offering ritual. With the desire to benefit myself and others, abandoning conceptualization, pride, etc., with the mind of following the Dharma, listen to the fire offering ritual. Supreme, inner, and outer, there are three types of fire offerings. Burning the aggregates, etc., in the fire of wisdom, burning firewood is supreme. Eating food, etc., is said to be inner. The outer burning of offerings is the fire offering, this mandala is the abode of the deity, and the fire offering is performed during the time of practice. Without reciting the mantra, one cannot achieve, and without performing the fire offering, one cannot produce results. In order to perfectly accomplish all actions, diligently perform the actions of the fire offering. To destroy sins is pacification, to fully increase merit is enrichment. To meditate on attachment is subjugation, to kill conceptualization is wrathful action. Pacifying afflictions and sins, and samadhi is the cause of increase. By the union of one's own deity, do whatever you desire with your mind. Therefore, everything should be explained, that is, the characteristics of the hearth and the substances, as well as the practitioner and the deities, the method of practice and the five aspects. Among them, the general method of fire offering is explained. The classification of sentient beings is infinite, and it is divided into four by the classification of actions. It is divided into five by the classification of lineage: the color of pacification is white, and the color of enrichment is golden. The color of subjugation is red. The color of wrathful action is black. Attraction and expulsion are black. The shape of pacification is round, and the shape of enrichment is square. The shape of wrathful action is triangular. The remainder should be practiced there. One cubit in width and depth, and one span in height is pacification. Two cubits in width and depth, and one cubit in height is enrichment. Twenty fingers in width and ten fingers in depth is wrathful action. Subjugation and attraction are the same as this. The opening of pacification is surrounded by four fingers. The opening of enrichment is eight fingers. The opening of wrathful action is three fingers.
