Sengdeng, Bilota, and other tree roots that are spicy, thorny, and prickly; a ten-finger-long piece made from graveyard wood, with two sharp points carved at the top; and anointing wood with blood and mustard oil, mustard powder, black oil, salt, kusha grass, neem leaves, graveyard ashes, dust from the enemy's footprints, donkey and mule dung—as much as there is, or all of it. Mix with poison, blood, and salt, make an image of the enemy, cut and burn it. This is the explanation of the fuel. The firewood for pacifying activities is sacrificial wood without animals, or cow dung from the forest, slightly lower than the hearth. For increasing activities, use fruit-bearing trees other than cow dung. For subjugating activities, use sour trees and flowering trees. For magnetizing activities, use thorny, hook-like trees. For wrathful activities, use spicy trees, thorny graveyard trees, and donkey and mule dung. This is the explanation of the firewood. Then, for pacifying activities, bathe and cleanse, anoint the body with fragrance, adorn with white clothes and ornaments, and with loving-kindness, face west. Sit on a clean, soft cushion or a lotus seat, and with a peaceful mind, begin from the dawn of the first day of the waxing moon. For increasing activities, adorn with yellow flower garlands and yellow ornaments, sit on a good cushion in a good posture, and with a joyful mind, face north and begin from the early morning. For subjugating activities, adorn with red clothes and ornaments, and with an amorous mind, sit on a high cushion in the vajra posture, facing east. Magnetizing activities are the same, but especially face upwards. For wrathful activities, with an angry mind, wear blue clothes and ornaments, and clothes stained with blood and water, face the direction of Yama, sit on a hard cushion at the heart of the image of the one to be destroyed, or without a cushion, press the right foot with the left foot, gnash the teeth, and with an angry face and furrowed brows, roll the eyes upwards. On the second day of the dark moon or another day, show anger towards the one to be destroyed.

In order to avert sins, at noon or midnight, the object to be accomplished should be protected with a vajra hook arising from Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ). This is the teaching of the practitioner. The vessel for the Argha of pacification can be gold, silver, copper, earth, stone, conch shell, fish bladder, etc., or even tree leaves. Fill it with barley, milk, and water with a white fragrance, and recite your own deity's mantra, adding "Svāhā (Tibetan: སྭཱ་ཧཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: svāhā, Chinese literal meaning: Accomplishment)" at the end seven times. The same applies to the method of increase, but especially use water with a yellow fragrance, and sesame seeds and yogurt, reciting with "Oṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Oṃ)" at the end. For empowerment, use water with a red fragrance, reciting with "Ho (Tibetan: ཧོ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हो, Sanskrit Romanization: ho, Chinese literal meaning: Ho)" at the end. For forceful action, use water that is not fragrant and is black, mixed with blood, cow urine, and soot, reciting with "Phaṭ (Tibetan: ཕཊ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phaṭ)" at the end. This is the ritual of offering and bathing. For the methods of pacification, increase, and empowerment, fully recite the syllable Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) over the water for all activities, and place the two Argha vessels on the left. Then, take the recited water from those two vessels with your right hand, sprinkle it on the fuel for burning, such as arrow wood and firewood, and place it on the right side. For wrathful actions, place it in reverse. For pacification, use fire from milk-bearing trees and friction, or from a Brahmin's fire sacrifice. For increase, use fire from a monastic heating room, or from the house of a kingly or merchant caste. For empowerment, use fire from the house of a merchant caste or a prostitute. For attraction, use fire from a dancer, a wanderer, or one found on the road. For wrathful actions, use wood from a cemetery, or fire produced from rubbing stones, or fire from a butcher's house. Then, take water recited with Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) with the tip of a kusha grass, sprinkle it three times, place it together with clean and dry grass, ignite it with a fan, and then pour ghee over it while reciting "Oṃ Jvāla Jvāla Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཛྭ་ལ་ཛྭ་ལ་ཧཱུ༵།, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ jvāla jvāla hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Oṃ, Blaze, Blaze, Hūṃ)" seven times. Cover the outside of the hearth with wet kusha grass that has undamaged leaves and is not too long, with the tip pointing east, after reciting "Oṃ Vajra Sattva Ā (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་སཏྭ་ཨ།, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ vajra sattva ā, Chinese literal meaning: Oṃ, Vajrasattva, Ā)". Generate the hearth with the syllable Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ), and within it, from Raṃ (Tibetan: རཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Sanskrit Romanization: raṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Raṃ), generate the fire deity with a color and ornaments that correspond to the activity.
