At the door of the mandala, after cleansing and scattering with water from a vase, bind the face covering, reciting the mantra "A-kham-bi-ra-hum" (Tibetan: ཨ་ཁཾ་བཱི་ར་ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: a khaṃ bī ra hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: A-kham-bi-ra-hum), holding a garland of flowers. In order to introduce him into the mandala, ask, "Child, what do you delight in?" He should say, "I delight in good fortune and great bliss." Then again, ask, "What does he do for you, child?" He should say, "It is the vow of the supreme Buddha." Then, with "Om Sarva Yoga Citta Uttada Ya Mi" (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་སརྦ་ཡོ་ག་ཙི་ཏྟ་ཨུཏྡ་ད་ཡ་མི་, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ sarva yoga citta utdādaya mi, Chinese literal meaning: Om Sarva Yoga Citta Uttada Ya Mi), generate the mind of enlightenment. From beginningless time in samsara, whatever sins I have committed, and whatever I have done or caused to be done, I confess today. I beseech the chief one to bestow the vows again. I rejoice in all the good deeds of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and other beings, and I dedicate them to enlightenment. Today, I take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. In order to cut off the suffering of samsara, and in order to increase virtue, having generated the two minds of enlightenment, today I strive for the benefit of beings. Having become a Buddha, I will liberate all beings from the ocean of existence. Then, place the vajra with flowers, with "Om Surate Samaya Tvam Ho Siddhi Vajra Ya Yatha Sukham" (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་སུ་ར་ཏེ་ས་མ་ཡ་སྟྭཾ་ཧོ་སིདྡྷི་བཛྲ་ཡ་ཐཱ་སུ་ཁཾ་, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ surate samaya stvaṃ ho siddhi vajra ya yathā sukhaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Om Surate Samaya Tvam Ho Siddhi Vajra Ya Yatha Sukham) at his heart. Today, you are blessed by all the Tathagatas. This great secret vow should not be spoken to those who have not entered the mandala of all the Tathagatas, nor to those who do not have faith. With the mantra "A-kham-bi-ra-hum" (Tibetan: ཨ་ཁཾ་བཱི་ར་ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: a khaṃ bī ra hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: A-kham-bi-ra-hum), introduce him into the mandala's chamber. One should say this: Today, you have entered the lineage of all the Tathagatas. Furthermore, with what wisdom shall I cause you to obtain the siddhi of all the Tathagatas? What need is there to mention other siddhis? One should generate such vajra wisdom. You should not speak in front of those who have not seen the mandala, lest you break your vows. Then, place the vajra on the crown of his head and say: This is your vow vajra. If you speak of this matter to anyone, it will crush your head. Again

于心间安立金刚，念诵：嗡 班匝 萨埵 尼 阔吉（藏文：ཨོཾ་རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་དཔའ་ཉིད་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི།，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ vajrasattva nid khyod kyi，汉语字面意思：嗡，金刚萨埵，你，你的）。 今日汝之心，真实安住于此。 若汝违此誓，立即断绝而逝。 如是说后，令其立誓。于胜乐金刚宝瓶之上，置于莲花之中，将五种甘露，念诵：嗡 班匝 阿弥利达 乌达 塔（藏文：ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཨ་མྲྀ་ཏ་ཨུ་ད་ཋ་，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ vajra amṛta uda ṭha，汉语字面意思：嗡，金刚，甘露，升起，赐予）。 此乃汝之地狱之水，违越誓言则焚烧汝身。 若能守护誓言，则成就诸悉地，此金刚甘露之水能成办。 如是说后，令其饮用。自今日起，汝之金刚萨埵即为我。我所吩咐汝应行之事，汝皆应遵行。切莫轻蔑于我。若违背，则于未舍弃罪业之时，命终堕入大恶趣地狱。如是说之。以此立誓之仪轨，坚定后而灌顶。此为誓言之水仪轨。 誓言之水仪轨。

Place a vajra in the heart, and recite: Om Vajrasattva Nid Khyod Kyi (藏文：ཨོཾ་རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་དཔའ་ཉིད་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི།，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ vajrasattva nid khyod kyi，汉语字面意思：Om, Vajrasattva, You, Your). Today, may your heart truly reside here. If you violate this oath, May you be immediately severed and depart. After saying this, make them take an oath. On top of the vase of the Victorious One, place the five amṛtas that have ripened in the lotus, and recite: Om Vajra Amrita Uda Ṭha (藏文：ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཨ་མྲྀ་ཏ་ཨུ་ད་ཋ་，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ vajra amṛta uda ṭha，汉语字面意思：Om, Vajra, Amrita, Rise, Grant). This is your hellish water. If you break the samaya, it will burn you. If you keep the samaya, then the siddhis Will be accomplished by this vajra amrita water. After saying this, have them drink it. From this day forward, I am your Vajrasattva. You, my child, must do all that I command you to do. And do not despise me. If you do, you will die without abandoning your sins and fall into the great hell of sentient beings. So be it. With this ritual of taking an oath, make it firm and then bestow the initiation.
