Fourth, Explanation of the Chapter on the Meaning of the Mudras Compendium of All Tantras. Fourth, Explanation of the Chapter on the Meaning of the Mudras Compendium of All Tantras. Now, the fourth chapter is explained. In this, song, dance, and gestures, etc., are shown. By these two, song and dance, the best dance is to be performed with song. In this, the song is to be sung with the form of Amitabha, and the dance is to be performed with the form of Heruka. The smell of garlic, etc., is a sign of having attained accomplishment; garlic is the actual substance. The fragrance of camphor, etc., will arise. Similarly, the sound of dampa, etc., and jeyang is called ku. The signs of the mudras are clear in the tantra. An ignorant practitioner will not accomplish the actual substance. This means that the five afflictions, such as hatred, are practiced by connecting them with their respective families. This is connecting them with similar families. For example, in the mantra for dispelling plague, it is like saying the mantra of plague. The wisdom that is the antidote to them is called that. Therefore, according to the way that accords with the Dharma, the five aggregates and the characteristics of the Dharma that accord with reason, the purification of the five afflictions appears as the five families. Hatred is hating and destroying the consciousness that clings to duality, such as existence and non-existence, permanence and impermanence, grasper and grasped, so it is hatred, it is non-dual wisdom. Therefore, the complete purification of hatred is Akshobhya, it is the selflessness hatred mudra. Like this, ignorance is the characteristic of being deluded and unable to distinguish differences. Similarly, the wisdom of realizing the Dharmadhatu also does not differentiate because it realizes that all dharmas are of one taste, so it is harmonious. Because it abides like a stone, the complete purification of ignorance is Vairochana, it is actually the Vajra ignorance mudra. This is to be understood in conjunction. Jealousy is being unable to bear the perfection of others and wanting to possess wealth oneself. Here, it is wanting to accomplish the deeds of the Buddha alone, without relying on the benefit of others. The characteristic of action, the complete purification of jealousy is Amoghasiddhi, it is actually the meaning of the Gauri jealousy mudra.

Attachment is the characteristic of being attached and infatuated with anything. Attachment to the maturation and liberation of all sentient beings, or clinging to and not abandoning the correct meaning, is attachment. That is the nature of the complete purification of attachment, immeasurable light (Amitabha). In reality, Vari is the mudra of attachment. That is its meaning. Pride is the essence of arrogance, and due to the perception that oneself is equal to all Buddhas, the complete purification of pride is Ratnasambhava. That is, in reality, the dakini holding the miserliness. That is the meaning of what was said. Therefore, one should not rely on the objects of cyclic existence, such as attachment, which have the nature of afflictions. Here, with the antidote of understanding the complete purity of the realm of phenomena, etc., one is separated from the previous nature, and the arising of a different quality of realization becomes a path of dharma that transcends the world. For example, when poison is perfected with mantra, the power of the poison disappears, and taking the poison gives rise to the power of becoming medicine. This is what is said, otherwise these are all complete causes of samsara, and are the very poison that leads to the lower realms, etc. Because the reversal of cause and effect is contradictory. It is impossible for completely pure wisdom to arise and attain enlightenment from relying on these. Therefore, if one is seized by the power of non-elaboration wisdom, like a poison perfected by mantra, it becomes the original means of the vow, otherwise it is not. In this way, the antidote to those afflictions, and the nature of those five completely pure wisdoms, appear as the distinctions of the five families. Therefore, considering this, all Buddhas arise from attachment, and likewise from ignorance and hatred. In the Glorious Supreme First Tantra it is also said: Attachment, hatred, and ignorance, clinging to them becomes poison. If the poison itself is pacified, the poison is made non-poisonous. In the Heap of Jewels Sutra it is also said: Light Protector, for example, poison that is completely controlled by mantra and medicine cannot cause death. Light Protector, likewise completely controlled by wisdom and skillful means
