Because of not knowing, those who must slander the Bhagavan, should understand it in this way: Understanding is perfect complete enlightenment, it is the perfect complete Buddha himself. The meaning of Bodhi is that meaning, for the sake of the meaning of Bodhi, these skandhas, ayatanas, and dhatus were taught to the yoginis. Because this itself is samsara, from these pure things, that Bodhi will be accomplished, and it is not possible not to grasp these. If someone doubts that from such a combination, there is no such thing as the realm of sentient beings not being completely accomplished, then it is said, "What arises from conditions, its nature is unborn from the beginning," and so on. For those who say that Bodhi is attained merely through the combination of skandhas and so on, this statement will become a fault. However, for those who realize the skandhas and so on, and realize that their own nature is the accomplishment of Bodhi, there is no fault. Because those who only realize the skandhas and so on, only bind themselves, and do not attain Bodhi. The so-called "unborn from the beginning" refers to the first, that is, before samsara, the one who realizes the nature of things will be liberated. It is also said here: "Bound by the bondage of things, one is bound, completely knowing it, one is liberated." For the time being, put liberation aside, the reason for the unborn skandhas and so on is itself unreasonable, because things are born, that is, form, sound, and so on. How can it not be born? It will inevitably be born. Who would definitely say that things will not be born? Things will inevitably be born. However, because it is free from the three extremes of one and many, it is said to be without self-nature, therefore it is said to be unborn. Just as the noble one has said: "Whatever arises from conditions, by nature it is unborn. If it is unborn by nature, then how can it be said to arise from it?" and so on. If someone thinks, what would be the nature of the unborn thing at that time? It is said, "Not false, not true, thus."

That which is called "existent" is like a conventional vase. That which is called "non-existent" is like a rabbit's horn and so forth. Likewise, it is neither to be abandoned nor to be taken up. How should such things be regarded? Thinking this, it is said, "All are like the moon in water." "All" refers to the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, etc., which are like the moon in water, not just one aspect. If one says that the nature of things does not arise, then, to illustrate the arising of things that lack inherent existence, it is said, "Fire sticks and fire hearths," and so forth. Just as fire arises from the conditions of fire sticks and fire hearths, so too, the aggregates and so forth arise truly from encountering the cause of ignorance and the conditions of actions and so forth. To explain the nature of things that arise from conditions, the order of the Buddha's blessings is described, such as food and drink. The vows of blessing are: "The five ambrosias and molasses wine." Molasses is the essence of blood. Wine is born from the mountains. Poison is the leaf of fragrance. Nimba is the bark. Newborn is fragrance. Sour is flower. Sweet is water. Astringent is flesh. Bitter is everywhere. Salt is fat. Spicy is ginger. Foul smell is fragrance oil. Fragrant is sandalwood. Tears are born from the ocean. Blood is the essence of snow. Bodhicitta is camphor. The secret substances of the yoginis are explained, and they become the five substances such as meat. Thus, by summarizing the elements of substances that are said to be taken as essence, the pledges of those who have vows are spoken to those who have vows, the agreement of vows. Composed by the learned master Glorious Invincible Moon, from the Difficult Commentary called Kaumudi, the chapter called "The Beginning of All Tantras" is the third chapter. Third, the chapter on the beginning of all tantras.
