Ninth, Extensive Explanation of the Chapter on Purification. Ninth, Extensive Explanation of the Chapter on Purification. Having arisen from the nature of non-reality, after prostrating to the Vajra Holder, the extensive explanation of the chapter on purification will be written by Vajragarbha. Thus, substances such as untamed poisons only have the function of killing. Wise individuals should tame them. Therefore, in this way, through the three modes of great secret, the three aspects of body, speech, and mind should be purified. Among these, briefly. After that, the chapter on supreme purification will be explained, which means following the wheel of yoginis. Certainly, of all things, that is, all things of the three realms. Purification is said to be Suchness, which is the unchanging Suchness that eliminates the poison of things. Also, in order for children to understand, gradually, one by one, the gods will speak. In terms of the generation stage, with (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཤཱུ་ནྱ་ཏཱ་,Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ शून्यता,Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ śūnyatā,Literal Chinese meaning: emptiness) and so on, certainly purify all things. Likewise, contemplating the palace and deities, etc., is the meaning of uprightness. This is it, this is it. Gradually, one by one, the gods will speak. The five aggregates and six faculties, the six sense fields and five great elements, are naturally purified. That is to say, the immobile realms are contemplated as the palace, and the mobile realms are contemplated as deities, which is a temporary purification. Among them, the five aggregates, etc., that is, the five aggregates from form to consciousness, are purified as the five Buddhas such as Vairochana. Likewise, the faculties, sense fields, and great elements, etc., are purified as Bodhisattvas and the five vidyādharīs. The afflictive and cognitive obscurations are purified, self-awareness is self-nature, which is purity itself, and purity is not liberated by others. Among these, the necessity of purification is to purify the afflictive and cognitive obscurations. How to purify? It is said that self-awareness is self-nature, and form, etc., are naturally unborn.

Now, what is to be known? It is what is called purity. If this is not understood, nothing else can make it pure; this is the definitive meaning. Therefore, for the sake of the purity of objects, the bliss of self-awareness is supreme. Objects such as form, and other things seen by yogis, all these things are pure. Like this, beings are the nature of the Buddha. In order for children to understand this, things like form are essentially Buddha, the main deity, and so on. For example, it is expressed with words such as "form is Vairochana." Therefore, objects that appear and fulfill purposes, such as the wish-fulfilling tree, the good vase, the wish-fulfilling jewel, and the sword, should be purified and taught truthfully to children. "Lord, what is impure?" This is the question posed to the Lord by Vajragarbha. Previously, the Lord had said that objects such as form and faculties such as the eye are originally Buddhas. Apart from that, I have not seen any other second thing. The Lord's answer is in response to Vajragarbha's question. "Form, etc." means that form, etc., are impure for children because they lead to killing. "What is the reason for that?" This is the question Vajragarbha posed again. "Because of the objects of grasping and the grasper." It means that children cling to self and what belongs to self. For example, people cling to self-nature, and similarly, they cling to change, as well as sound, poetry, and the language of actions, and so on. "Lord, what is the grasper and what is grasped?" This is asking, "Who grasps what in what way?" The Lord's answer is: "The eye grasps form, the ear hears sound, the nose smells odors, the tongue tastes flavors, and all things touch." The Lord said this because children engage with objects in the manner of objects and object-holders, self and what belongs to self, and happiness and suffering.
