A Four-Line Verse on the Profound Essence of View A Four-Line Verse on the Profound Essence of View This is the treatise called "A Four-Line Verse on the Profound Essence of View." Though enlightened countless eons ago, for the benefit of beings, the Buddhas repeatedly, after generating the mind of enlightenment, accumulating merit, and purifying realms, I pay homage to the twelve excellent deeds they display. 1 With various dances of their three bodies, they turn the wheel of Dharma in accordance with the minds of those to be tamed. Just as all small rivers flow into the ocean, they incline and merge into the supreme state of perfect and complete enlightenment. 2 Although the words and meanings appear separately at times, they are sealed with the handprints of the four hidden intentions. In the ocean of tantras, they are bound by six edges and four modes, ensuring that no being to be tamed is wasted. 3 Thereafter, gradually, for those whose intelligence has matured, to avoid introducing them into disputes, they reveal the ultimate fruit, the pinnacle of the Vajrayana, the Great Perfection, the attainment of Buddhahood without meditation. 4 Nowadays, those who are ignorant and filled with pride, some who have broken their vows and mingled with the Sangha, regard the views of Longchen Rabjam, Minling Lochen, and others as nihilistic emptiness. 5 Regarding the unique characteristics of the Secret Mantra Vajrayana, they make the basis of separation, the lineage of the two bodies, manifest through the path of union and completion stages. They do not accept the ripened fruit of separation. Even if one views it thus, 6 Although facing the words head-on, nitpicking and stubborn, the overall meaning is not severed by the great waves. Relying on what is implicitly established, without looking back, they are inclined to deny its existence due to their strong attachment. 7 They pull the intention of the Victorious Ones towards their own desired direction. Not realizing that the ultimate agreement of the views of the gradual vehicles is like rivers merging into one, they cut off their own tongues. May all of them look upon this. 8 If they do not see any harm or contradiction to their own lineage and instructions, then later they will view other-emptiness as an enemy. Others should abandon what contradicts both this life and the next. 9 To destroy the innate attachment and dualistic clinging since beginningless time, and the false imputations of evil doctrines, the compassionate masters, lords of the Buddhas, unleashed a hailstorm with the views of the Hearers, Solitary Realizers, Madhyamaka, and Mind-Only schools. 10 Later, considering that even that was not ultimate, they explained it themselves with the forceful power of necessity. In the unexcelled vehicle of

Bas. It also shows the essence of the true Buddha. 11. Gongzhujiebu Mipam Gonpo believed that the holy Asanga, who lived in the land of light, explained the ultimate name, the four kinds of intelligence, and the ninety-nine metaphorical meanings from the lineage of the guru. 12. Skilled in leading people from higher to higher, for the extremely true and compassionate master, the meaning of the higher vehicle without characteristics, has become the retinue of the Bodhisattva who is firmly convinced. 13. Claiming to guide from the outside with the lower vehicle, for those who abandon refuge by violating vows and shirking responsibilities, like the example of Karma Bu's son, etc., are all successive stages of maturity, with clear signs. 14. That omniscient great Buddha incarnation, both the middle and the last are definitely said to be true. The union of luminosity and self-arising wisdom, if there is no basis for separation, is the view of the summit of existence. 15. Going to the outside from this teaching is like smearing the mind of the sky with ashes. Because it exists from the beginning, it is said to be self-nature spontaneously accomplished, established like the essence of the doctrine. 16. Also, these illusions of samsara, which did not exist originally, now appear, while the infinite appearances of nirvana, which actually exist, do not appear now, so it is said. 17. In the eleventh chapter of the Dharmadhatu Treasury Treatise, from other vehicles that are universally present for the sake of Dharma, focusing wisdom on emptiness, while this is based on the foundation of clear light of intelligence. 18. Recognizing oneself, determining its nature as existence, non-existence, is, is not, has been transcended, is different from the views and opinions of other vehicles. Please measure the meaning of these words. 19. From the Great Madhyamaka Root Tantra, through the oral instruction of the meaning of not seeking but abiding, it is obtained from the original first Buddha. Please everyone understand the meaning of what is said. 20. Especially from the supreme first Buddha, the wisdom that is said to have four reliances is the supreme primordial great bliss that has all aspects, do not say it elsewhere, this is the main difference. 21. From Immaculate Light and the Tantra King Sambhuta, as well as the Non-Dual Victorious Tantra, etc., the wisdom residing in the heart is spoken of, and the three co-born dharmas are spoken of in Heruka Vajra. 22. By negating non-existence, thinking that the general aspect resides in the heart, even if one can tolerate the doctrine of claiming a noble heart, the co-born dharma and the three wisdoms are vast and boundless.
