They will be amazed, wondering which seven destinies this divine son will experience? Thinking this, they remained silent. These seven destinies are: the birthplace of a pig, a dog, a fox, a monkey, a venomous snake, a vulture, and a crow. They saw that these seven destinies would experience eating extremely unclean things. Then, the Lord of the Gods, Indra, seeing these seven destinies, thought: Alas! This divine son will experience unbearable great suffering. Who else but the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, can be his refuge, support, and help? So he thought. Then, the Lord of the Gods, Indra, that night, at dusk, carrying incense, flowers, various incenses, clothes, and various ornaments, went to where the Blessed One was. Having arrived, he bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One, circumambulated seven times, and then sat before the Blessed One, and in detail told the Blessed One about the seven extremely firm destinies that the divine son would experience. As soon as the Lord of the Gods, Indra, had told of these seven destinies, various rays of light immediately arose from the crown of the Blessed One, illuminating all places in the ten directions of the world, and then the rays returned and entered through the mouth of the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One smiled and said to the Lord of the Gods, Indra: Lord of the Gods, the Dharani called "Crown Victory," which the Tathagata has empowered from the crown of his head, completely purifies all evil destinies, destroys all obstacles and painful rebirths, completely purifies the hells of sentient beings, the birthplaces of animals, and the world of Yama, and establishes one on the path of good destinies. Lord of the Gods, therefore, the Dharani called "Crown Victory," as soon as it is heard that it completely purifies all evil destinies, destroys the extremely numerous and various natures of suffering that will become obstacles, and one will obtain the lineage of completely pure rebirth, and in all lifetimes one will obtain rebirth.
