Ro! By merely reciting it three times, one will be liberated from all afflictions. Thus, by merely reciting, one will increasingly attain qualities, and one will also see the Tathagata. By reciting while walking, one will be freed from all suffering. By reciting near a single upright tree, one will attain all accomplishments. By reciting while walking, all sentient beings will be brought under one's control. In the midst of a great forest, sitting in the lotus position and reciting it seven times, one will attain great samadhi, and one will also be separated from afflictions. In front of the image of the noble Samantabhadra, sitting in the lotus position and making offerings with as many flowers and so on as possible, reciting this great dharani until the body becomes weary, and then slowly lying down in that very place, one will see the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra in a dream. He will stroke one with his right hand and give a true breath, and he will also bestow a great light of Dharma. He will say, "Son of the Conquerors, well done, well done! You have entered the great mandala of the Tathagata, and you will be reborn and attain the great earth." Then, one will awaken with a comfortable body, a comfortable mind, great joy, delight, and supreme great joy. One will also become famous for being powerful and authoritative. The gods will also come to see him. Having risen in the morning, one should read the sutras that have been truly compiled by the Bodhisattvas. One should also generate a mind of benefit and happiness for all sentient beings. Then, all the perfections will be completely fulfilled, and one will be separated from all sins, destroy the aspects of affliction, and also be praised by the Tathagatas.
