The Noble Great Goddess Glorious Prophecy The Noble Great Goddess Glorious Prophecy In Sanskrit: Ārya Śrī Mahādevī Vyākaraṇa. In Tibetan: The Noble Great Goddess Glorious Prophecy. Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Thus have I heard. At one time, the Blessed One was in Sukhavati, together with a great Sangha of Bodhisattvas, namely: the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Noble Avalokiteśvara, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Mahāsthāmaprāpta, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Sarvanivāraṇaviskambhin, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Kṣitigarbha, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Ākāśagarbha, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Vajrapāṇi, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Sarvatathāgata and similarly, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva holding all auspicious purifications, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva holding all names of merit, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Sun and Moon, the World Holder, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva holding all auspicious Tirthikas, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta, and so forth, all the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas of the Good Aeon were assembled together. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Noble Avalokiteśvara went to where the Blessed One was, and upon arriving, bowed his head to the feet of the Blessed One, and sat down on one side. The Great Goddess Glorious also went to where the Blessed One was, and upon arriving, bowed her head to the feet of the Blessed One, circumambulated the Buddha hundreds of thousands of times, and also bowed her head to those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas residing in Sukhavati, and sat down on one side. Then, the Blessed One, adorned with hundreds of thousands of merits, surrounded by billions of Tathagatas, was praised and extolled by Indra, Brahma, and all the protectors of the world.

Then, the great goddess Shri, gazing, with the voice of the great Brahma, spoke thus to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Avalokiteshvara: Avalokiteshvara, whether king or minister, or monk or nun, or male lay practitioner or female lay practitioner, or Brahmin or Kshatriya or ancient lineage or commoner lineage, whoever holds this praise called the hundred and eight immaculate names of the great goddess Shri, then the land of that Kshatriya king and the fears of those beings and the plague diseases and all harms will be pacified, and all fears of thieves and deceivers and humans and non-humans will not occur, and wealth and grain and storehouses and granaries will all increase. In the home of that Kshatriya king, Shri will surely reside. Then, those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas said thus: Blessed One, these words you have spoken are well said! Well said! Indeed, those who hold the names of the great goddess Shri, and having heard them, also practice, their merits and benefits are these! Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Arya Avalokiteshvara said thus to the Blessed One: Blessed One, where did the great goddess Shri plant the roots of virtue? The Blessed One said: The great goddess Shri planted the roots of virtue in as many Tathagatas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River. Avalokiteshvara, in the past, there was a world called Born of Jewels, in which there was a Tathagata named Jewel Lotus Merit Sea Vaidurya, and a golden mountain named Golden Mountain Beautiful Face Golden Light Shri appeared in the world, and the great goddess Shri also planted the roots of virtue in many other Tathagatas. It eliminates all sins, purifies all bodies, gathers and increases wealth and grains, cuts off poverty, and makes all gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas rejoice and invites them.
