The Noble King of Subtle Rituals of Amogha. The Noble King of Subtle Rituals of Amogha. In Sanskrit: Arya Mogha Pasha Kalpa Raja. In Tibetan: The Noble King of Subtle Rituals of Amogha's Net. Volume One. Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Homage to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the Noble Avalokiteshvara! Thus have I heard. Once, the Blessed One was on Mount Potala, in the palace of Avalokiteshvara, adorned with various trees such as Sala, Tamala, Champaka, Ashoka, and Atimuktaka. He was accompanied by a great Sangha of hundreds of thousands of monks, and ninety-nine hundred thousand kotis of Bodhisattvas. Hundreds of thousands of sons of gods from the pure realms surrounded him and gazed at him from the front. He was teaching the Dharma, having made the gods, the great gods, Brahma, and the sons of gods, have power. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the Noble Avalokiteshvara, rose from his seat, draped his upper garment over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, folded his palms in reverence, and with a smiling face, addressed the Blessed One as follows: "Blessed One, there exists the essence of the King of Amogha's Net. Ninety-one kalpas ago, I observed the world in various ways and heard it from the Tathagata, the King of the World's Sovereignty. Thus, I granted the holding of the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment to the gods such as the sovereign, the great sovereign, and hundreds of thousands of sons of gods from the pure realms. I have obtained hundreds of thousands of kotis of samadhis, including the arrangement of wisdom without delusion. Blessed One, thus, in whatever vast direction, in the place where this essence is practiced, twenty thousand sons of gods, such as the sovereign, the great sovereign, and Brahma, reside for the sake of guarding, protecting, and concealing. It should be known. Blessed One,

Then, that place where this meaningful and perfect essence is used will also be revered as a stupa. World-Honored One, those sentient beings will generate roots of virtue in the presence of countless hundreds of thousands of kotis of Buddhas. If someone listens to this essence of the meaningful snare, World-Honored One, whether they engage in evil, practice all evil dharmas, slander the noble ones, abandon the sacred Dharma, are immersed in the Avici hell, or abandon all Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Shravakas, and Pratyekabuddhas, they will repent and obtain vows in the future. World-Honored One, just by fasting for one day and reciting, in this very life, that karma will be completely purified, eliminated, and dispelled. Whether it is a one-day fever, a two-day fever, a three-day fever, a four-day fever, or similarly, a seven-day fever, or eye disease, ear disease, nose disease, diseases of the teeth and lips, diseases of the tongue and palate, heart disease, stomach disease, or diseases of the back and waist, diseases of the limbs or minor limbs, hemorrhoids, stomach disease, fever, diseases of the hands and feet, nasal disease, brain disease, large white spots, vitiligo, leprosy, leg ulcers, smallpox, boils, pustules, rashes, forgetfulness, demonic influences, killing done by others, binding, beating, expulsion, or slandering with untrue words. World-Honored One, in short, if one is afflicted by physical or mental suffering, or if the karma of bad dreams is fully ripened, what need is there to mention that those sentient beings who have particularly strong faith and purity will be completely purified? World-Honored One, if any of the four castes or four classes listen to this essence of the meaningful snare with deceit and trickery, hold it, recite it, read it, ask about it, cause others to ask about it, fully understand it, and proclaim it to other sentient beings, even placing it in the ears of those belonging to the animal realm, reciting it in their ears, and thinking about these vajra words,

Without rebuke, without form, without discrimination, without arising, without going far, without acting, without being stained, with equanimity of mind, without separation, separated from the five aggregates. If one cultivates the remembrance of the Buddha with this yoga, then the Buddhas of the ten directions will show a thousand faces, and faults will be cleared away, and so on, it should be widely supplemented. Is it to be lectured at home as a book? Or is it done out of fear of the ruler? If one listens only for the sake of jest, O Bhagavan, by the power of the wise Arya Avalokiteshvara, I think that sound will enter their ears. O Bhagavan, for example, if someone is angry with sandalwood, or camphor, or musk, or completely belittles it, grinds it on a stone, and then smears it on himself, the sandalwood, or camphor, or musk will not think, "This person is angry with me, or completely belittles me, therefore I will not emit fragrance," but will emit fragrance even more. O Bhagavan, similarly, this essence of my meaningful snare, whoever it may be, should widely supplement "only for the sake of jest." O Bhagavan, even if one makes offerings with deceit and falsehood, that will become a cause of virtue for those stubborn beings. Wherever one is born, one will not lose the fragrance of the accumulation of discipline, meditation, wisdom, and merit, but will emit the fragrance of discipline. O Bhagavan, whether it is a son or daughter of good family, a monk or nun, a male or female lay practitioner, or any other sentient being, for the sake of the essence of the meaningful snare, if one keeps the fast on the eighth day of the waxing moon, and without speaking to others, recites the essence of the meaningful snare seven times, O Bhagavan, that person will obtain twenty-one benefits in this very life. What are the twenty-one? They are as follows: diseases will not arise in that person's body. Even if diseases arise in that person's body due to karma, they will quickly be pacified.
