The Great Collection Sutra, the Great Collection Sutra. The Great Collection Sutra, the Great Collection Sutra. In Sanskrit: Mahasamajasutra nanama Mahasutra. In Tibetan: The Great Collection Sutra. Homage to the Three Jewels! Thus I have heard, at one time, the Blessed One was dwelling in the forest of Kapilavastu of the Shakyas, together with a gathering of five hundred monks, all of whom were Arhats, free from outflows, had done what needed to be done, had accomplished what was to be done, had laid down their burdens, had attained their own benefit, had completely exhausted the bonds of existence, and whose minds were utterly liberated through perfect knowledge. Then, the Blessed One was teaching the Dharma discourse endowed with Nirvana to the community of monks. At that time, from all the Buddha-fields of the ten directions, gods known as the Greatly Powerful came and paid homage to the Blessed One and the community of monks. Then, four gods of the Brahma retinue, dwelling in the Brahma world, thought to themselves: The Buddha, the Blessed One, is in the forest of Kapilavastu of the Shakyas, together with a gathering of five hundred monks, all of whom are Arhats, free from outflows, have done what needed to be done, have accomplished what was to be done, have laid down their burdens, have attained their own benefit, have completely exhausted the bonds of existence, and whose minds are utterly liberated through perfect knowledge. Then, the Blessed One is teaching the Dharma discourse endowed with Nirvana to the community of monks. 依靠的。諸天眾全部都來臨了，為了瞻仰他人不能勝的僧伽，我們在此。梵天眷屬的第二天神以偈頌祈請：以正直的心，於此精進的沙門，如駕車者般攝取眼，善於調伏諸根。梵天眷屬的第三天神以偈頌祈請：權杖光耀如深淵，權杖摧伏不能立。彼等離貪行清淨，導師如調伏幼象般調伏。梵天眷屬的第四天神以偈頌祈請：凡是皈依佛者，彼等不往惡趣，捨棄人身之後，將獲得天身。梵天眷屬的四位天神如是祈請後，即於彼處斂容而坐。之後，世尊遍觀一切天眾眷屬，對比丘們說道：比丘們，唉，諸天的集會是多麼盛大啊！比丘們，唉，諸天的集會是多麼的盛大啊！如來、阿羅漢、正等覺，凡是過去時已出現的諸佛世尊，對他們來說也是如此，譬如現在我的諸天大集會，像這樣聚集。如來、阿羅漢、正等覺，凡是未來時將出現的諸佛世尊，對他們來說也是如此，譬如現在我的諸天大集會，像這樣聚集。比丘們，諸天的名字應當宣說，諸天的名字應當憶持。凡是住在地上，以及住在山林中的，如獅子般各自分別，心意收攝安住於平等，全部都聚集起來，是毛髮豎立之意。凡是住在地上，以及住在山林中的，如獅子般各自分別，心意收攝安住於平等，全部都聚集起來毛髮豎立，我應當宣說。心意清淨且殊勝，無垢，捨棄死主者們，於梵天世界的邊際。

Relying on. All the assemblies of gods have come, to behold the Sangha that others cannot overcome, we are here. The second god of the Brahma retinue requested with verses: With an upright mind, the ascetic who is diligent here, like a charioteer, takes the eye, and well subdues the senses. The third god of the Brahma retinue requested with verses: The scepter's light is like an abyss, the scepter is subdued and cannot stand. They are free from desire and practice purely, the guide subdues them like taming a young elephant. The fourth god of the Brahma retinue requested with verses: Whoever takes refuge in the Buddha, they will not go to the evil realms, and after abandoning the human body, they will obtain a divine body. The four gods of the Brahma retinue, after requesting in this way, sat there with their faces composed. Then, the Blessed One looked upon all the retinues of the gods, and said to the monks: Monks, alas, how great is this assembly of gods! Monks, alas, how great is this assembly of gods! The Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One, all the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, who appeared in the past, it was the same for them, just like this great assembly of my gods now, gathered like this. The Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One, all the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, who will appear in the future, it will be the same for them, just like this great assembly of my gods now, will gather like this. Monks, the names of the gods should be spoken, the names of the gods should be remembered. Those who dwell on the earth, and those who dwell in the mountains, like lions, each separately, their minds gathered and abiding in equality, all gathered together, it means the hair is standing on end.
