For the benefit of beings. This is what I have also said. Whoever holds or recites this Dharani Sutra. In twenty-one lifetimes. He will remember his past lives. For the one who recites this dharani. Whatever non-human or anything else. Yakshas, Kumbhandas, Rakshasas, etc. Will not create any obstacles. For the one who recites this dharani. Whatever is the Lord of the Desire Realm. Or the evil Mara, at any time. Will not create obstacles. For the one who holds this dharani. His parents, brothers and sisters. Sisters, friends, and relatives. Will not fall into wrong paths. Therefore, whoever hears this Dharani Sutra. Fearlessly recites this dharani. Should not be afraid at any time. For the one who holds this dharani. In millions of kalpas. Whatever obscuring deeds have been done. Will be purified in seven days. Whatever merit a Bodhisattva accumulates. All that has been accumulated in millions of kalpas. The one who holds this dharani. Will surpass them in seven days. The protectors of the four directions. The Four Great Kings. Protect the body and the country. Those with bad eyes and the noble ones. Possessing beauty and fame. Together with their retinue and ministers. The one who recites this dharani. They will always be protected. Then, after the Bhagavan spoke thus, the venerable Ananda, and those great Shravakas, the noble Maitreya, and Manjushri and other Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, the Four Great Kings, gods, humans, asuras, and the world with Gandharvas, rejoiced and praised what the Bhagavan had said.
