With the letter's head, words, and nourishment, From the root channels of seventy thousand, It descends, generating bliss. It is said to be the ultimate truth. By gathering ignorance, knots are untied, By the arising of outflows, one becomes bound. The co-emergent, with reason, Shows others what is appropriate. I do not say that one will be liberated. Emaho! The mind appears as dualistic, No matter how one practices, one will not be liberated. This is the third chapter, the chapter on empowerment. Where the name is thus, Entered into meditative absorption. Then Vajrasattva, in order to cut off, The three kinds of conceptualization, Arose from his seat and spoke thus: Lord of space, various bodies, What is the nature of meditation? I prostrate to you, Vajra Hero! I prostrate to you, Vajra Self-born Mind! I prostrate to the hands, pure, clear light realm! I prostrate and bow, I prostrate and bow! Guru of beings, wisdom body, The drop of speech, co-emergent, I prostrate to the pure, self-aware realm. The Bhagavan spoke thus: O Vajrasattva, listen! Manifestation is the best of meditation, The heat of various blazing wisdoms, If one sees anything and realizes it is empty, The unseen place is the place of seeing. If one sees, it ceases; if one looks, it arises, The great light of wisdom. If one abides as one pleases, it obstructs bliss. In the clear ocean of wisdom, Do not meditate on becoming a Buddha. Is there an antidote to that? Showing the disease of bondage with reason, The past, future, and present, Can he show that bliss? Vajrasattva, yourself, Can you teach it, or what? Because it is unnameable, it is beyond words, Because it is unaccomplishable, it is beyond example, Because it is unrepresentable, the path of words is cut off, Because it is co-emergent, it is unaccomplishable, Because it is manifest, it is unmeditatable, Because it is unanalyzable, it is beyond alteration, It is realized by an undistracted mind. When this chapter on meditation was taught, The speaker himself, Fainted and fell to the ground. The Asuras, holders of knowledge mantras, Scattered and awoke. A thousand daughters of the gods, Their eyes were purified of the dust of the Dharma. Twenty thousand Bodhisattvas, Immediately attained enlightenment. The world trembled six times, With roaring sounds and flashing lights, The three realms trembled. At that moment

The mind is complete. Having given rise to wonder, I pray thus: "Emaho! Lord of all Buddhas, Perfect enlightenment is the supreme bliss, The sole friend who tames the fortunate, A lamp for beings, a lamp of wisdom. With the wisdom of your mind, Remove the lid of the eggshell of ignorance, Pure wisdom, I prostrate to you. With joy and delight, I make prayers, All prostrate and abide." This is the fourth chapter, the chapter on meditation. Thus spoke the Bhagavan Shakyamuni, Looking at Vajrasattva, He gave this instruction of command: "Excellent, great assembly of gatherings, Having entered into true wisdom, Free from the disease of the bondage of conceptualization. In the nature of being free from extremes, Looking with inversion, they hold onto difference. The innate nature arises together, But how can it be seen when bound? Whoever makes it manifest, How can sin hold onto them? Abiding in the three times, the realms of the world, They are blessed. If there is form in them, Can it be measured or estimated? Gods and non-gods, secret ones, Protect them accordingly. Even the powerful Yakshas, Will always protect them. The Kumbhandas, Rakshasas, and demons, Will fulfill their wishes. Diseases, sores, pox, and plagues, Will not occur in their bodies. The obscurations accumulated over eons, Will be purified in an instant. Those who have entered the stream and come once, The Bodhisattvas who do not turn back, Will increase their splendor. Therefore, great Bodhisattvas, listen! The all-pervading wheel is the supreme bliss, It possesses the six perfections. The unwritten and the words of knowledge, Can measure the sacred meaning. It shows how to measure the nature of reality with meaning. If you ask from the mouth of the Lama, it arises, If realized, that yogi, Will show the dust particles of the sky. They hold onto the words of inferior illusion, Have you seen the co-emergent? If seen, then examination will arise, If examined, then it will be distracted and wander. Suffering appears in the minds of duality, In transforming different colors into one taste, The wheel of great bliss is supreme, Abiding in reality, bondage is liberated. Whoever knows the kindness of the Lama, Shows the nature of being unborn. Those who do not know the kindness of the Lama, How can they see the co-emergent?

Bound by that which is co-emergent, Beings are born and bound by it. Clinging to distinctions becomes disease, Reversed by counting time and place. Reversed by seeing as self and other, Mistaken by naming this life and the next. The unborn co-emergent is bound by fabrication, Thus spoke the Bhagavan. The speaker praises thus: Emaho, pure wisdom body! The all-pervading key to speech, Tearing apart the veil of ignorance. The Sugata's wisdom body! Emaho, the essence of the yogi's heart! Liberating beings from the torment of suffering, The unborn co-emergent is without cessation, I prostrate and praise the Bodhicitta. The fifth chapter, on benefits. The tantra of the meaning of the heart essence of all the Tathagatas is complete. Translated and established in Pamtang by the venerable Guru and the translator Sengkara Shakyaprabha. The Tantra of the Meaning of the Heart Essence of All the Tathagatas.
