O Bhagavan, great compassionate one, having prostrated to that one, Vajragarbha again asked: If the protection wheel is like that, what are the specific wisdoms? The Bhagavan said: With wisdom, about that, I will explain the distinctions well. Therein, the abodes of wisdom, are to be known as fivefold: outer, inner, secret, extremely secret, and great secret. I will explain, listen well. Therein, the outer wisdom is related to body color and hand symbols. Thus, understanding the outer wisdom, the inner aggregates etc. are understood as deities; being inseparable from that is wisdom. Then, the secret wisdom is understanding the channels, winds, and bindus. Being separate from that understanding is said to be the secret wisdom. The joy that is separate from bliss and supreme joy, whatever co-emergent joy is, understanding happiness is conceptualization; abandoning that is the extremely secret wisdom. Then, the four great wisdoms: first, the equality of taste, abandoning extremes; in that very wisdom, abandoning conceptualization, one remains thus. That itself is great self-awareness; that itself is great wisdom. Knowing thus, the ground of the Vajra Holder is definitely attained. Thus ends the fourth chapter, "Examining Wisdom," from the Glorious Mighty Tantra. Then, the examination of great wisdom itself will be explained. First, becoming equal in taste. In the equality of taste of emptiness, body color, hand symbols, and so on, the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, and so on, channels, winds, and bindus, joy, supreme joy, and separation from joy, all of those, should be known as merely illusion. That is called "other-awareness"; meditating non-dually on the very nature of self-aware mind is that very great wisdom. The ultimate examination is complete. Thus ends the fifth chapter, "Examining Great Wisdom," from the Glorious Mighty Tantra. Thus, as the Bhagavan spoke, Vajragarbha and the heroes, dakinis, yoginis, and the entire assembly of Matris, rejoiced and, having made offerings with outer, inner, and secret offerings, circumambulated three times from the left and disappeared. The King of the Glorious Mighty Tantra is complete. Translated by Pandit Gayadhara and the translator, the monk Shakya Yeshe.
