Greatly astonished, she said to the maidservant: 'If the price of the flowers bought before is the same as the price of the flowers bought today, why were there fewer before and more now? In the past, did you deceive me?' The maidservant said: 'The owner who sells flowers today is very upright, and because he does not deceive, one gets more.' That man is handsome and beautiful, and if the mistress sees him, she will be pleased,' she said. Then the prostitute sent for him. Upagupta could not come there, and even though she called him repeatedly, she could not get him to come. At that time, the prostitute was with a prince, and because she coveted the prince's precious clothes, she secretly killed the prince and hid the body. Then the king searched the house, and the prince's body was found in the prostitute's house, so the prostitute's limbs were cut off. Her ears and nose were also cut off, tied to a tree, and erected in the cemetery. Even after doing this, she still did not die, and Upagupta went to her. The prostitute said: 'You could not come when I was beautiful before, where are you going now that I have become ugly?' Upagupta said: 'I have not come here to covet your beauty, but I have come because I pity you.' After saying this, he taught these four kinds of impermanent dharmas. This body is impure, it is suffering, it is empty, it is selfless. Each one should be examined, and it cannot be trusted. Whoever is foolish and ignorant is attached to it. After hearing these teachings, the prostitute's eye of dharma became purified. Upagupta attained the fruit of non-retrogression. Then, Yashas asked the householder for a young man, saying that he would ordain him. The householder also offered the young man in the same way, took him to the monastery, and gave him the ten precepts. Then, when he reached the age of twenty, he received the Bhikshu vows. At the time of receiving the Bhikshu vows, he received the Bhikshu vows through the request and the four karmas, and became an Arhat. Endowed with the three knowledges and the six supernormal powers, he became a person whose words and courage were inexhaustible. He gathered many people and began to teach the Dharma. At that time, the demon

The evil-doing demon rained down gold coins like rain in the midst of many attendants, and people were greedy for the coins and stopped listening to the Dharma. On the day after that, when many attendants were gathered to teach the Dharma, the evil-doing demon rained down garlands of flowers, disturbing the minds of all. On the day after that, when many attendants were gathered to teach the Dharma, the king of demons transformed into a dark blue elephant with six tusks emerging from its mouth, each tusk having a pond, each pond having seven flowers, each flower having seven crystal girls, and those girls each playing many musical instruments. The elephant slowly walked on lotuses, demonstrating the way of walking. All the people looked at it and no longer desired to listen to the Dharma. On the day after that, when all the attendants were gathered to teach the Dharma, the king of demons transformed into a very beautiful and virtuous young woman who came into the midst of the attendants, and all the people stared at her without blinking, forgetting to listen to the Dharma. Immediately, the woman transformed by Yashas turned into a white skeleton, which many people saw. All the fruits that people initially obtained by listening to the Dharma also became very abundant. Those monks initially had a dog, and every day it would prick up its ears to listen to the Dharma. That dog died and was reborn in the sixth heaven, sitting on the same seat as the evil-doing demon. The king of evil-doing demons thought: This god has great merit and is with me, where did he transmigrate from to be born here? So he observed and saw that he was born from a dog, and thought: The monk will be ashamed of me and will blame me. From afar, he saw the monk entering into meditation, and placed a precious diadem on the monk's head. When he arose from meditation and realized that he had a diadem on his head, he wondered who had placed it there, and after observing, he realized that it was placed by the evil-doing demon. Then, by the power of his miraculous abilities, he summoned the evil-doing demon and transformed a dog's corpse into a garland on his head, and said to the evil-doing demon: In return for you giving me a diadem, I will give you a garland, please accept it.
