Thus have I heard: At one time, the Blessed One was in Rajagriha (present-day Rajgir, Bihar), on Vulture Peak Mountain, together with all the great Sangha of monks, namely one thousand two hundred and fifty Arhats, those who have exhausted defilements. And also together with a great assembly of Bodhisattvas, Maitreya, Manjushri, and others, as well as gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, sages, mantra holders, and numerous assemblies of goddesses. Then, the Blessed One addressed the venerable Mahakashyapa, saying: "Mahakashyapa, for the sake of fully maturing the roots of virtue of newly practicing Bodhisattvas, I will thoroughly explain the cause. Therefore, listen and pay close attention, and I will tell you." The venerable Mahakashyapa replied, "Blessed One, good." Then, the venerable Mahakashyapa listened to the Blessed One. The Blessed One said: "Mahakashyapa, to the east of this Buddhafield, beyond worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, there is a world called Adorned with Samadhi. There, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, named Samadhi Elephant Auspicious One, now resides, lives, and exists. Mahakashyapa, in that Buddhafield there is a Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Dustless Victor. After that Tathagata passes away, he will attain unsurpassed, perfect enlightenment, manifesting as the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, named Constant Samadhi Elephant Auspicious One, and will appear in the world. Great son of a noble family or daughter of a noble family, whoever truly enters the Great Vehicle, If anyone holds the name of the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened One, the Auspicious Elephant of Samadhi, and the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the Dustless Subduer, then when they are born in samsara, they will remember their past lives. They will be liberated from a hundred kalpas of samsara. They will also accumulate immeasurable and boundless merit. They will also attain the fruit of being close to unsurpassed and perfect enlightenment. Great Light, from this Buddha-field to the east, after passing through worlds as numerous as the sands of two Ganges rivers, there is a world called Adorned with the Essence of Bodhi, Beautiful and Excellent. There, there is a Tathagata, an Arhat, a Perfectly Awakened One, named Auspicious Lotus, who now dwells, lives, and exists. Great Light, in that Buddha-field, there is also a Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Holder of the Lotus. After that Tathagata passes away, he will attain unsurpassed and perfect enlightenment, becoming the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened One, the King of the Auspicious Lotus Umbrella, appearing in the world. Great Light, whichever son of a noble family or daughter of a noble family, if anyone holds the name of the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened One, Auspicious Lotus, and the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Holder of the Lotus, then when they are born in samsara, they will remember their past lives. They will be like a lotus, unsoiled by all the non-virtuous dharmas of the world. They will appear sublime, like a lotus rising from the water. They will never regress from unsurpassed and perfect enlightenment. They will be liberated from thirty kalpas of samsara. They will also attain the fruit of being close to unsurpassed and perfect enlightenment. They will also accumulate immeasurable and boundless merit.

After that Tathagata passes away, he will manifest and awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, and will appear in the world as a Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha, Holy Auspicious One, complete in all respects, possessing a body with a sacred name. O Great Kashyapa, any son or daughter of good family who has properly entered the Bodhisattva path, if they hold the name of that Bhagavan, Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha, Holy Auspicious One, complete in all respects, possessing a body with a sacred name, and the Bodhisattva Sunlight, then they will remember their past lives when they are born into existence. They will gain the ability to perceive all virtuous Dharmas like a sun wheel. It should be known that they will not have the fear of falling into the three lower realms. They will also gain the opportunity to be close to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. They will also turn away from the cycle of a thousand kalpas. They will also become irreversible from unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. O Great Kashyapa, to the east, passing through worlds equal to the sands of four Ganges Rivers from this Buddha-field, there is a world called Dominion. There, a Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha, named Precious Umbrella Unique Supreme, now dwells and exists. O Great Kashyapa, any son or daughter of good family who has properly entered the Mahayana, if they hold the name of that Bhagavan, Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha, Precious Umbrella Unique
