Please protect me well in such a way that I do not harm any of the things that belong to any place of birth. Please also explain the ritual of protection. After praying like this, the Blessed One said to someone who was as bright as Shakya's youth: Young one, therefore listen well and completely, keep it in mind, and I will tell you. The young one replied: Blessed One, I will do so. The one who was as bright as Shakya's youth listened to the teachings of the Blessed One, and the Blessed One said to him: Young one, in the eastern direction, beyond eighty thousand Buddha-fields from this Buddha-field, there is a world called "Shaking All Afflictions." There, there is a Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha, named Following Practice, who now dwells, lives, and exists. Young one, whenever you go to the east for some reason, at that time you should prostrate to that Tathagata, remember him, place him in front of you, manifest him with the stream of your mind, and if you go like that, no fear will arise for you. At that time, if you remember him without distraction, the task for which you go will be accomplished. Then, the Blessed One at that time spoke this verse: Perfect Buddha, great hero, To the Lord, I prostrate, Always manifesting that body, Going, you will have no fear. Young one, in the southern direction, beyond ninety thousand Buddha-fields from this Buddha-field, there is a world called "Destroying Darkness and the Assembly of Darkness." There, there is a Tathagata, Arhat, Samyak-sambuddha, named Remembering the Generation of the First Thought, an Exalted King who is free from all kinds of timidity and shyness, who now dwells, lives, and exists. Young one, whenever you go to the south for some reason, at that time you should prostrate to that Tathagata, remember him, place him in front of you, manifest him with the stream of your mind, and with undistracted attention, not separated from attention to home and so on.

As for me, whatever you go for, that task will be accomplished, and you will not experience fear from anywhere. Young man, to the west, passing through Buddha-fields as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River from this Buddha-field, there is a world called "Land Arrived." There, the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyaksaṃbuddha, the Buddha who subdues anger and pride, named "Khon dang Gyagpa Nampa Nampa," now resides there, living. Young man, whenever you go to the west for some reason, at that time, pay homage to that Tathagata, remember and place him before you, manifest him with the stream of your mind, and go with the stainless, undistracted, and mindful, you will not experience fear from anywhere. Then, the Bhagavan spoke this verse at that time: Some dharmas have not arisen, And some will not cease, Whoever knows the dharmas in this way, He has no fear of anything.
