Not focusing on objects, this is the discriminating awareness of Dharma, a branch of perfect enlightenment. Manjushri, if someone, due to utterly destroying the notion of realms, neither takes nor abandons the three realms, this is the diligence of perfect enlightenment. Manjushri, if someone, due to utterly destroying joy and displeasure, does not generate joy in all conditioned things, this is the joy of perfect enlightenment. Manjushri, if someone, due to not focusing on the object of focus, has a mind that is extremely tamed towards all phenomena, this is the extreme taming, a branch of perfect enlightenment. Manjushri, if someone, due to realizing the destruction of all phenomena, does not focus the mind, this is the samadhi of perfect enlightenment. Manjushri, if someone does not abide in all phenomena, does not rely on them, does not cling to them, does not bind to them, and that becomes one who has equanimity, not seeing all phenomena as truly seen, and obtains joy, this is the equanimity of perfect enlightenment. Manjushri, these seven branches of enlightenment should be viewed in this way. Manjushri, whoever sees in this way the four noble truths that are superior to deeds, the four mindfulnesses, the eightfold noble path, the five faculties, and the seven branches of enlightenment, I say that this is crossing over, reaching the other shore, abiding on land, obtaining happiness, obtaining fearlessness, casting off burdens, being free from dust, being without anything, being without afflictions, being without grasping, being an Arhat, being a Shramana, being a Brahmin, being a washed one, being a wise one, being a far-gone one, being a pure one, being a son of the Buddha, being a son of the Shakya, being one who has pulled out thorns, being one who has crossed over the abyss, being extremely steadfast, being without disease, being a Bhikshu, being a noble one, being one who has perfected the victory banner. Manjushri, one who possesses such patience is a worthy recipient of offerings in the world with gods, and is also worthy of gain and respect. Manjushri, therefore, if a Bhikshu wishes to consume alms from the countryside meaningfully, wishes to subdue Mara, wishes to truly transcend from Samsara, and wishes to attain Nirvana,

Those who desire to be liberated from all sufferings should diligently practice these dharmas. When this Dharma discourse was taught, thirty-two thousand sons of the gods attained realization of the Dharma, and they scattered Mandarava flowers upon the Bhagavan, and spoke these words: O Bhagavan, those who hear this Dharma teaching, if they go forth well into the teachings of the Tathagata, it will be very good. What need is there to say of those who, having heard it, generate joy, faith, and hold it as it is? O Bhagavan, those who hear this Dharma teaching will not have pride. After the Bhagavan spoke thus, Manjushri, the youth, and those great Shravakas, and the world with gods, humans, asuras, and gandharvas rejoiced, and greatly praised what the Bhagavan had spoken. Thus concludes the Mahayana Sutra called "The Noble Exposition on the Aspects of Enlightenment." Translated and revised by the Indian Abbot Jina Mitra, Jnana Siddhi, and the reviser, the monk Yeshe De, and established after being revised with new terminology. The Mahayana Sutra called "The Noble Exposition on the Aspects of Enlightenment."
