And others also obtained forbearance of the uncreated dharmas. Twenty-five laywomen also arose in the dharmas with a Dharma eye that was without dust, stainless, and completely pure. All of them also became endowed with forbearance of the uncreated dharmas. All of them, from here, dying and transmigrating, will be born in the Buddha-field world of Sukhāvatī of the Tathāgata, Arhat, Samyaksaṃbuddha Amitābha. Having been born there, all of them together will uphold, speak, teach, and truly and extensively teach the enlightenment of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. After those have passed as many eons as the sands of the Ganges River, in this very eon called the Auspicious Eon, in this three-thousand great-thousand world system, they will manifestly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. Then the evil Māra, suffering, displeased, regretting, filled with tears, weeping, became. From that very place, he went forth and spoke these words: "Bhagavat, I beseech you not to speak this Dharma discourse again in the future." The Bhagavat spoke: "Evil one, do not speak thus. Why is that? The turning of the wheel of Dharma by all the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, is unimpeded." Then the venerable Ānanda said this to the Bhagavat: "Bhagavat, what is the name of this Dharma discourse? How should we hold it?" The Bhagavat spoke: "Ānanda, therefore, you should hold this Dharma discourse as 'The Bodhisattva's Going Forth.' You should also hold it as 'Asked by Sukhavati.' Ānanda, I entrust this Dharma discourse to you, and I completely entrust it for the sake of holding, reciting, speaking, and extensively and truly teaching it to others. Why is that?

O son of good family or daughter of good family, if anyone holds this Dharma discourse, keeps it, recites it, comprehends it completely, and also extensively and accurately explains it to others, and even writes it down as a book and keeps it, then that one will generate a great amount of merit. Then, the Bhagavan spoke these verses at that time: "If someone has not heard this teaching, and gives alms for ten kalpas, that is not called the supreme giving, and that is not worthy of praise. If someone for ten kalpas, protects the morality of the world, because they dwell on the object, that morality is not pure. If someone holds this profound Sutra Pitaka, praised by the Buddhas, that morality is supreme, and is praised by all the Buddhas. If someone in this world for ten kalpas, becomes a person who speaks of patience, and is patient with all beings who revile, but has not heard this teaching, that patience is not praised. If someone holds this Sutra Pitaka, and also accurately explains it to others, that patience is supreme, and is praised by all the Buddhas. If someone has not heard this teaching, and for ten kalpas, does not depart from walking, that diligence is not praised. If someone holds this profound Sutra Pitaka, spoken by the Buddhas, that diligence is supreme, and is praised by all the Buddhas. If someone for ten kalpas, becomes a person endowed with meditation, and dwells in the taste of meditation, that one is not called a meditator. If one does not understand even a particle of Dharma, internally and externally, that meditation is supreme, and that one is called a meditator. Thus, through generosity, morality, patience, diligence, and the equality of meditation and wisdom, one will quickly attain enlightenment." After the Bhagavan spoke thus, the venerable Ananda, the Shakya son Sukha-kara, and all the complete retinue, and the world with gods, humans, asuras, and gandharvas, rejoiced and praised what the Bhagavan had said. The Great Vehicle Sutra, "Asked by the Noble Sukha-kara," is complete.
