Should rely on. Do not abandon the virtuous friend, for him, attaining supreme enlightenment is not difficult. Son of good family, if a Bodhisattva possesses four qualities, he will not turn back from unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment, and will also attain the aforementioned perfect qualities. What are the four? Son of good family, here, he strives for the sake of the Dharma, desires the Dharma, rejoices and delights in the joy of the Dharma, upholds the Dharma, and teaches the Dharma. He completely abandons women and does not rely on women. He is the master of generosity, possesses the nature of giving everything away, rejoices in giving everything away, and completely abandons drowsiness and sleep. He believes in emptiness and abides in emptiness. Son of good family, a Bodhisattva who possesses these four qualities will not turn back from unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment, and will also attain those aforementioned qualities. The Blessed One thus declared, the Sugata having spoken thus, the teacher thus declared again. Whichever sentient beings desire the Dharma, rarely exert effort for the sake of the Dharma. Whichever turn the wheel of Dharma, those will obtain supreme wisdom. Having heard from others, they hold it correctly, seeking the Dharma and teaching it for the benefit of others. Those wise ones will not have a diminishing retinue, they will touch the supreme, unsurpassed enlightenment. Completely abandon women, the cause of falling into wrongdoing. The prince will always practice pure conduct. Steadfastly abiding in pure conduct, he turns the supreme, unsurpassed wheel of Dharma. Women have some characteristics, such as suffering, being miserable, and becoming emaciated. Relying on them brings no peace, therefore, completely abandon them and practice enlightenment. Then, the son of the Shakya, having heard this teaching of happiness, was satisfied, pleased, convinced, and very joyful. Having generated joy and delight in his mind, he removed the ornaments from his body and threw them towards where the Blessed One was. Then, by the power of the Blessed One, those ornaments gathered in the sky directly above the head of the Blessed One, and became a jeweled mansion.

What happened then? From that jeweled palace, five hundred people adorned with all sorts of ornaments appeared. They scattered the ornaments towards the Blessed One, and also generated the mind for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Then they spoke these words: "Blessed One, may this root of virtue of ours be shared with all sentient beings, and may we completely dedicate it to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment." Having said this, they vanished. After that, the Shakya son Delightful Protector also saw those emanated people. Having seen them, the hairs on his body stood on end, and he said this to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, where do these people come from? Do they come from the east? Do they come from the south? Do they come from the west? Do they come from the north? Do they come from below? Do they come from the direction above? Or do they come from any corner?" The Blessed One replied: "Son of good family, these people do not come from the east, nor from the south, west, or north. They do not come from the direction below or above, nor from any corner. These are not asuras, not nagas, not yakshas, not gandharvas, not non-asuras, not garudas, not kinnaras, not mahoragas, not humans, and not non-humans. They do not rely on the earth element, do not rely on the water element, do not rely on the fire element, do not rely on the wind element, do not rely on the space element. These do not have form, do not have feeling, do not have perception, formations, and consciousness. They do not have mind, do not have intellect, do not have discriminating consciousness. They do not have karma, do not have the ripening of karma. They do not have this world, do not have the other world. They do not have coming, do not have going, do not have abiding, do not have dying, do not have birth. However, son of good family, these are called emanations. These are called rootless. These are called lifeless. These are called non-men. These are called non-persons. These are called signless. These are called peaceful. These are called emptiness. These are called without inherent existence. Delightful Protector, any son of good family or daughter of good family who regards all phenomena as being like emanations,
