眾多地聚集，菩薩喜施（བདེ་བས་བྱིན་）見到他們，供奉的油燈有成千上萬億之多，被點燃而光芒四射，其光芒普照一切。得知諸多天人和人類聚集聽法，他心想：我已進入大乘，現在我為了希求此三摩地，應當對如來作一供養。以何種供養如來的方式，能使天、人、阿修羅等世間眾生感到驚奇、喜悅、歡樂、滿足和心生安樂，並獲得佛法的光明呢？還要勝過國王妙音（རྒྱལ་པོ་དཔལ་དབྱངས་）對如來所作的一切供養，使國王妙音及其后妃眷屬和侍從等也感到驚奇、喜悅、極度歡樂、滿足和心生安樂，我應當作這樣的供養。於是，菩薩摩訶薩喜施如此心生歡喜和安樂。得知眾多聽法之人聚集，於是在當晚，他在如來佛塔前坐下，用布纏繞右手，浸入油中，浸入油中後點燃。然後，菩薩摩訶薩喜施進入殊勝的意樂，以殊勝的意樂趣入無上正等菩提，在尋求菩提的過程中，即使右手如此燃燒，他的心和容貌也沒有改變。年輕人，此後菩薩摩訶薩喜施的右手被焚燒，熾盛燃燒並化為火焰，火焰燃燒成一片之時，此大地也劇烈震動。他燃燒右手所發出的光芒，使供奉的成千上萬億油燈都黯然失色，所有方向都出現了巨大的光明。光明照亮所有方向，普照一切，他們感到歡喜和安樂，一切佛法

Having gathered in great numbers, the Bodhisattva Deva-datta (བདེ་བས་བྱིན་) saw them, and the offerings of lamps, numbering in the billions, trillions, hundreds of thousands, were ignited and blazed forth, their light pervading everything. Knowing that many gods and humans had gathered to listen to the Dharma, he thought to himself: "Since I have entered the Mahayana, now, desiring this samadhi, I should make an offering to the Tathagata. What kind of offering to the Tathagata would cause wonder, joy, delight, satisfaction, and ease of mind to arise in the world, including gods, humans, and asuras, and would obtain the light of the Dharma? It should also surpass all the offerings made by King Shri-ghosha (རྒྱལ་པོ་དཔལ་དབྱངས་) to the Tathagata, and cause King Shri-ghosha, together with his queen's retinue and attendants, to also be filled with wonder, joy, great delight, satisfaction, and ease of mind. I shall make such an offering." Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Deva-datta felt such joy and ease of mind. Knowing that a great assembly of Dharma listeners had gathered, that night he sat before the stupa of the Tathagata, wrapped his right hand in cloth, and immersed it in sesame oil. Having immersed it in sesame oil, he set it ablaze. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Deva-datta entered into superior intention, and through superior intention, entered into the unexcelled, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Even as his right hand burned in this way while seeking enlightenment, his mind and countenance did not change. Young man, thereafter, the right hand of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Deva-datta was burned, blazing fiercely and turning into fire. As soon as the flames blazed as one, at that moment, this great earth also shook violently. The light emitted from his burning right hand caused the billions, trillions, hundreds of thousands of lamps offered as offerings to become dim, and a great light arose in all directions. The light illuminated all directions, pervading everywhere, and they felt joy and ease of mind, and all the Dharma.

此一切法自性平等性种种显现之等持，以其言语柔和悦耳，词句殊胜超绝，词句与文字连贯不断，使所有眷属都能广泛理解，并如实地彻底开示。当时，三十二天界的二万天人聚集听法，他们心生欢喜和愉悦，于是供养各种天物。天女们也演奏天乐。国王华光（དཔལ་དབྱངས།）身处楼阁之上，被众多臣民簇拥，前方陈设齐整，与后妃眷属一同安坐。他严谨地持守着具有八支的布萨戒，菩萨摩诃萨施乐（བདེ་བས་བྱིན།）的手掌燃起火焰，光芒压倒一切，天神的光辉也无法比拟，见到此景，他心想：‘这位是获得大神通的菩萨摩诃萨啊！’于是，他对菩萨摩诃萨施乐生起极大的欢喜、信心和恭敬，以画像为凭，凭借善根和巨大的福德力，与八十位后妃眷属一同从楼阁上纵身跃下，为了瞻仰和欢喜菩萨摩诃萨施乐而跳跃而去。由于他由恭敬而生的善根，今生便获得了由天、龙、夜叉、乾闼婆、阿修罗、迦楼罗、紧那罗、摩睺罗伽等眷属的拥护。由于天、龙、夜叉、乾闼婆、阿修罗、迦楼罗、紧那罗、摩睺罗伽等的拥护，国王华光即使与眷属一同从高达千由旬的楼阁上跳下，他的身体和心灵也没有受到任何伤害，内心也没有丝毫恐惧。之后，国王华光合起双手，与广大的民众一同，当他看到菩萨摩诃萨施乐的手掌燃烧并发出强烈的光芒时，便大声呼喊道：

This Samadhi of the Equality of All Dharmas' Self-Nature, which manifests in various ways, is spoken in gentle and pleasing language, with particularly sublime and excellent words. The continuous flow of words and letters allows all those in attendance to understand it widely and is thoroughly and accurately revealed. At that time, twenty thousand deities from the Thirty-three Heavens gathered to listen to the Dharma. They were filled with joy and delight and offered various divine offerings. The daughters of the gods also played divine music. King Shri-radiance (དཔལ་དབྱངས།) was sitting on top of the palace, surrounded by many of his people and with offerings arranged before him. He was seated among his consorts and their attendants, perfectly observing the eight-limbed Uposatha vows. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva Deva-datta's (བདེ་བས་བྱིན།) hand blazed with light, overwhelming all other lights, surpassing even the light of the gods. Seeing this, he thought to himself, 'This is a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who has attained great super-knowledge!' He felt great joy, faith, and reverence for the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Deva-datta. Relying on an image, and strengthened by roots of virtue and a great accumulation of merit, he jumped down from the top of the palace with eighty consorts and their attendants, leaping to see and rejoice the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Deva-datta. Through the roots of virtue born from his reverence, in that very life, he obtained the protection of retinues of gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas. Because he was protected by gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas, even though King Shri-radiance jumped from the top of a palace that was a thousand yojanas high with his retinue, his body was not harmed, his mind was not harmed, and he did not become disheartened. Then, King Shri-radiance raised both hands and, together with the great assembly of people, when he saw the hand of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Deva-datta burning and blazing brightly, he cried out in a loud voice:

哦，发出哀号声！然后，国王与众多民众一起哭泣，流着眼泪，坐在菩萨摩诃萨德力施的面前。年轻的菩萨摩诃萨德力施看见了国王吉祥光，看见后对他说：‘大国王，你为何与这些众多民众一起坐在我的面前，发出巨大的声音，发出哀号声，哭泣并流泪呢？’ 这样说完之后，国王吉祥光以偈颂的音调对菩萨摩诃萨德力施说：智慧广大德力施，善说佛法是智者，得知肢体不全后，这些民众为此故。光辉聚集之殊胜者，如此之相亦是，得知手已残缺后，我亦甚为痛苦啊。你的手被点燃，那光芒向十方散发，你所生之天物，使这些灯火不明亮。此地剧烈摇动，你的心却不沮丧，那时我心中生起，认为不是寻常智者。我与妃嫔眷属，从百千俱胝的，楼阁之上跳下，我的身体没有损害。好啊，不可思议的智慧你，好啊，心也无与伦比，精进努力极好啊，心愿广大是极好的。无论谁的手被点燃，你却从未动摇过，欢喜踊跃生起后，再次宣说佛法。如满月一般，如天空中央的太阳，如须弥山王一般，朋友你如此美好。我也如是智者般，愿望完全圆满，身体毫不吝惜，我将做众生的利益。因佛法的喜悦而欢喜，我的喜悦不可思议，如此肢体不全，因此极度痛苦啊。以天与龙的供养，德力施对国王，以无边之勇气，说了这些偈颂。无论谁没有手，那也不是肢体不全。

Oh, a wail was made! Then, the king, together with a great multitude of people, weeping and shedding tears, sat before the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Deva-datta. The young Bodhisattva Mahasattva Deva-datta saw King Shri-prabha, and having seen him, said to him: 'Great king, why do you, together with these great multitudes of people, sit before me and utter a great sound, making a wail, weeping and shedding tears?' Having said this, King Shri-prabha spoke to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Deva-datta in the tune of verses: Great wisdom Deva-datta, Speaking the Dharma is the wise one, Having known the limbs are incomplete, These people are for that reason. The glorious one who is superior with a mass, Even this form like this, Having known the hand is impaired, I am also very distressed. Your hand was set ablaze, Its light was sent in ten directions, By the divine substance born from you, These lamps were made dim. This earth was greatly shaken, Your mind was not disheartened, Then my mind arose, Thinking it was not an ordinary wise one. I, together with a retinue of consorts, From a hundred thousand kotis, Having jumped from the top of the palace, My body had no harm. Well done, wondrous wisdom you, Well done, the mind is also unsurpassed, Diligence is well exerted, A great thought is excellent. Even if whose hand was set ablaze, You were never shaken, Having arisen with joy and delight, Again, the Dharma is greatly explained. Just like the full moon, Like the sun in the center of the sky, Like Mount Sumeru, the king of mountains, Friend, you are so beautiful. I also, like that wise one, May the aspiration be completely fulfilled, Having completely abandoned attachment to the body, I will do the benefit of beings. Having rejoiced with the joy of Dharma, My joy is inconceivable, Like this, the limbs are incomplete, Therefore, it is extremely painful. With the offerings of gods and nagas, Deva-datta to the king, With boundless courage, Spoke these verses. Even if someone has no hand, That is not an incomplete limb.
