示导者已逝灭。后世之时，比丘众，无戒律者甚众多，不欲多闻者将生起，赞颂戒律之言辞，然于戒律不求实义。赞颂禅定之言辞，然于禅定不求实义。赞颂智慧之言辞，然于智慧不求实义。赞颂解脱之言辞，然于解脱不求实义。犹如某些人，对此旃檀木，说香气悦意，赞叹旃檀木之功德。之后另有人，如是赞叹而言说，可否稍稍焚烧此旃檀木？若有人如是问，彼人复又如是说，以何为生计，我赞颂香气，然我无此香。如是瑜伽不勤奋者，以戒律之赞颂为生计，后世之时将生起，然彼等无有戒律。如是瑜伽不勤奋者，以禅定之赞颂为生计，后世之时将生起，然彼等无有禅定。如是瑜伽不勤奋者，以智慧之赞颂为生计，后世之时将生起，然彼等无有智慧。如是瑜伽不勤奋者，以解脱之赞颂为生计，后世之时将生起，然彼等无有解脱。犹如某个贫穷之人，被众人轻贱，彼人之后获得珍宝之宝藏，以有财之识，将众人视为图画。如是若未获得此禅定，菩提萨埵亦不被天人，以及罗刹等众多所恭敬，如贫穷之人无有财富。何时能于此地，获得智者无法衡量之法宝，天人等将对其生起希望，彼亦将无上珍宝给予众生。是故听闻诸佛所说之，此殊胜利益之后，舍弃知之利益与安乐，受持此寂静殊胜之禅定。诸佛于何方逝灭，无论现在已出现或未来将出现者，彼等皆是于修习此禅定之后。

The guide has passed away. In the future, there will be many monks who lack discipline, and those who do not desire much learning will arise. They will speak words of praise for discipline, but will not seek the true meaning of discipline. They will speak words of praise for meditation, but will not seek the true meaning of meditation. They will speak words of praise for wisdom, but will not seek the true meaning of wisdom. They will speak words of praise for liberation, but will not seek the true meaning of liberation. It is like some people who say that the fragrance of sandalwood is pleasing and praise the virtues of sandalwood. Then another person says, praising in this way, "Can you burn a little of this sandalwood?" If someone asks that, that person replies, "With what do I make a living? I praise the fragrance, but I do not have this fragrance." Likewise, those who do not strive in yoga, who make a living by praising discipline, will arise in the future, but they will not have discipline. Likewise, those who do not strive in yoga, who make a living by praising meditation, will arise in the future, but they will not have meditation. Likewise, those who do not strive in yoga, who make a living by praising wisdom, will arise in the future, but they will not have wisdom. Likewise, those who do not strive in yoga, who make a living by praising liberation, will arise in the future, but they will not have liberation. It is like a poor person who is despised by many people. Later, that person finds a treasure of jewels, and with the knowledge of wealth, regards people as mere pictures. Likewise, if this meditation is not obtained, the Bodhisattva will not be respected by gods and humans, and by many rakshasas, just like a poor person without wealth. When will this place be able to obtain the Dharma treasure that cannot be measured by the wise? Gods and humans will develop hope for that, and he will also give the supreme jewels to beings. Therefore, after hearing this excellent benefit spoken by the Buddhas, abandon the benefits of knowledge and happiness, and take up this peaceful and supreme meditation. Whichever direction the Buddhas pass away in, whether those who have appeared now or those who will appear in the future, all of them have learned this meditation.

证悟菩提无与伦比圆满佛，月光童子心生欢喜后，于佛陀跟前安坐如是说：殊胜丈夫彻底寂灭后，恶劣时世我将受持此经。我将身命一切皆施舍，世间所有养育皆布施，我于大恐怖之时，亦将受持此寂静殊胜之三摩地。于众多有情生起大悲心，见有情痛苦无依怙之后，亦对彼等慈爱而行饶益，我将受持此寂静殊胜之三摩地。于彼时受持三摩地者，将有五百之众不少于此，为广弘受持此殊胜经藏，彼等之前导者即是童子。赞叹佛陀功德圆满品第三（终）。 第三，赞叹佛陀功德圆满品。

The perfectly enlightened Buddha, incomparable in attaining enlightenment, after the Moonbeam Youth generated joy in his mind, sat before the Buddha and spoke these words: After the noble being has completely passed into nirvana, in the evil times, I will uphold this sutra. I will completely give away my body and life, and give away all that nurtures the world. Even in that time of great fear, I will uphold this supreme peaceful samadhi. Generating great compassion for many sentient beings, and seeing sentient beings suffering without protectors, I will lovingly benefit them, and I will uphold this supreme peaceful samadhi. At that time, there will be no fewer than five hundred who uphold samadhi. The one who leads them in widely upholding this supreme sutra collection is the youth. The third chapter, praising the qualities of the Buddha, is complete. Third, the chapter praising the qualities of the Buddha.
