好的。世尊，既然如此，我一定以我的加持力，使这部法在此赡部洲得以弘扬。我将加持这部法。然后，世尊如来、应供、正等觉释迦牟尼佛对菩萨摩诃萨普贤说：普贤，你为了利益众多有情而发心，并且具有如此不可思议之法，以大悲心所摄持的殊胜意乐，以及不可思议所摄持的发心。你对那些说法者给予加持，太好了，太好了。种姓之子，凡是那些受持菩萨摩诃萨普贤名号的人们，见到如来、应供、正等觉释迦牟尼佛，并且从世尊释迦牟尼佛那里听闻这部《妙法莲华经》的法门，那些人供养如来释迦牟尼佛，并且如来释迦牟尼佛对他们宣说佛法时给予赞叹，对这部法门随喜，如来释迦牟尼佛以手加持他们的头顶，并且那些人会视世尊释迦牟尼佛为身披法衣。普贤，那些种姓之子或种姓之女，应当知道他们将受持如来的教法。他们不会喜欢世间的嬉闹，他们不会喜欢沉溺于诗歌的有情们，他们不会喜欢跳舞、奏乐，以及巨人、屠夫、猎户、卖鸡者、卖猪者和以供养妇女为生的有情们。听闻、书写、受持和读诵这样一部经，他们不会贪恋其他。那些有情将具有法的自性，他们将如理作意各自的自性，他们将增长自己的福德之力，那些有情们见到他们会感到欢喜。

Very well. O Blessed One, since it is so, I will certainly, through my blessings, ensure that this Dharma discourse is practiced in this Jambudvipa. I will bless this Dharma discourse. Then, the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened Buddha Shakyamuni, said to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra: Samantabhadra, you have embarked on this path for the benefit of many beings, and you possess such inconceivable Dharma, with the excellent intention embraced by great compassion, and the mind of awakening embraced by the inconceivable. It is excellent, excellent that you bestow blessings upon those who preach the Dharma. Sons of good family, whoever among those who hold the name of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra, see the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened Buddha Shakyamuni, and hear this Dharma discourse of the White Lotus of the Sacred Dharma from the Blessed One Shakyamuni, those who make offerings to the Tathagata Shakyamuni, and when the Tathagata Shakyamuni teaches the Dharma to them, they give praise, rejoice in this Dharma discourse, the Tathagata Shakyamuni places his hand on their heads, and those people will perceive the Blessed One Shakyamuni as being adorned with Dharma robes. Samantabhadra, those sons or daughters of good family, should know that they will uphold the teachings of the Tathagata. They will not delight in worldly amusements, they will not delight in beings who are immersed in poetry, they will not delight in dancers, musicians, giants, butchers, hunters, sellers of chickens, sellers of pigs, and beings who make a living by serving women. Those who hear, write, uphold, and recite such a sutra will not crave others. Those beings will possess the nature of Dharma, they will properly attend to their own nature, they will increase the power of their own merit, and those beings will be delighted when they see them.

將會如此。凡是受持如此經典的比丘，將不會被貪欲所困擾。將會沒有嗔恨、沒有愚癡、沒有吝嗇、沒有隱瞞，沒有我慢、沒有大我慢、沒有邪慢。善男子，那些說法者將會對自己所獲得的感到滿足。善男子，在後世末法五百年間，如果有人見到受持《妙法蓮華經》法門的比丘，應當這樣想：這位善男子將會走向菩提之精髓。這位善男子將會戰勝魔之眷屬。這位善男子將會轉法輪。這位將會敲響法鼓。這位將會吹響法螺。這位將會降下法雨。這位將會安坐於法之獅子座上。應當如此發心。凡是在後世末法五百年間，受持此法門的比丘，將不會貪婪。不會貪著法衣，也不會貪著缽。那些說法者將會正直。那些說法者將會獲得三解脫。他們的壽命將會被延長。凡是誹謗受持如此經典的說法比丘的眾生，將會變成盲人。凡是宣揚受持如此經典的比丘的壞話，他們今生就會身上出現白癜風。凡是嘲笑和輕蔑抄寫如此經典的人，他們的牙齒將會掉落。牙齒會變得難看。嘴唇會變得醜陋。鼻子會變得扁平。手和腳會變得畸形。眼睛會變得斜視。身體會散發出難聞的氣味。身上會長滿麻疹、小痘痘、腳癬、疥瘡和瘙癢。凡是對受持如此經典，抄寫如此經典，讀誦如此經典，以及講說如此經典的人說壞話的

It will be so. Those monks who uphold such a sutra will not be afflicted by desire. They will be without hatred, without delusion, without stinginess, without concealment, without pride, without great pride, and without false pride. Good men, those who preach the Dharma will be content with what they have obtained. Good men, in the future, in the last five hundred years of the Dharma-ending age, if someone sees a monk upholding this Dharma teaching of the White Lotus Sutra, they should think: 'This good man will go to the essence of Bodhi. This good man will conquer the assembly of Mara's retinue. This good man will turn the wheel of Dharma. This one will beat the drum of Dharma. This one will blow the conch of Dharma. This one will rain down the rain of Dharma. This one will sit on the lion throne of Dharma.' One should generate such a thought. Those monks who uphold this Dharma teaching in the future, in the last five hundred years of the Dharma-ending age, will not be greedy. They will not be attached to Dharma robes, nor will they be attached to alms bowls. Those who preach the Dharma will be upright. Those who preach the Dharma will attain the three liberations. Their lifespan will be prolonged. Those beings who slander the Dharma-preaching monks who uphold such a sutra will become blind. Those who proclaim the bad things about the monks who uphold such a sutra will have vitiligo on their bodies in this very life. Those who ridicule and despise those who copy such a sutra will have their teeth fall out. Their teeth will become unsightly. Their lips will become ugly. Their noses will become flat. Their hands and feet will become deformed. Their eyes will become cross-eyed. Their bodies will emit an unpleasant odor. Their bodies will be covered with measles, smallpox, athlete's foot, scabies, and itching. Those who speak ill of those who uphold such a sutra, copy such a sutra, recite such a sutra, and explain such a sutra

如果宣说真实或不真实之语，应当知晓罪业极其深重。普贤，因此，对于持有此法类之比丘，即使从远处也应起立。如同应当恭敬如来一样，也应当恭敬持有如此经典之比丘。普贤，宣说此普贤菩萨劝发品时，菩萨摩诃萨将获得名为百千俱胝旋陀罗尼，其数量如恒河沙。圣妙法莲华经中普贤菩萨劝发品，即第二十六品。 第二十六品，普贤菩萨劝发品。

If one proclaims true or untrue words, one should know that the karmic consequences are extremely grave. Samantabhadra, therefore, one should rise even from afar for a monk who holds this category of Dharma. Just as one should respect the Tathagata, so too should one respect those monks who hold such a sutra. Samantabhadra, when this chapter on the Encouragement of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva is taught, Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas will obtain a dharani called "Hundreds of Thousands of Kotis of Revolutions," as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River.
