Again, for the third time, the assembly of Bodhisattvas who were endowed with all things said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, please explain these meanings. Well-Gone One, please explain. Then, the Blessed One, knowing that those Bodhisattvas had requested three times, addressed those Bodhisattvas: "Sons of good family, therefore, listen to this account of the arising of the power of Samadhi. Sons of good family, this world, including gods, humans, and asuras, thinks that the Blessed One Shakyamuni renounced his home from the Shakya clan and went to the supreme essence of enlightenment in the city called Gaya, and only then attained unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment and became a Buddha. However, sons of good family, I have been attaining unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment and becoming a Buddha since many billions of hundreds of thousands of myriads of eons ago.

That person exhausts all the earth elements of all those world realms in this way, and puts all the atoms of the earth element in the east in this way. Sons of good family, what do you think? Can anyone think, measure, count, or examine those world realms? After saying this, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Maitreya and all the assembly of Bodhisattvas who are endowed with everything said this to the Blessed One: Blessed One, those world realms are countless and immeasurable, and have truly gone beyond the realm of the mind. Blessed One, even all the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas cannot think, measure, count, or examine with noble wisdom. Blessed One, this place is not even the object of thought for us Bodhisattvas who dwell on the ground of non-retrogression. Blessed One, the number of those world realms is immeasurable. After saying this, the Blessed One said this to those great Bodhisattvas: Sons of good family, you should believe, you should understand. Sons of good family, in all those world realms, where that person put down those atoms, and sons of good family, in all the billions of trillions of kotis of world realms where he did not put down atoms, all those atoms of dust that exist, sons of good family, are more than the billions of trillions of kotis of kalpas in which I attained unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. During the period of teaching the Dharma to sentient beings in hundreds of billions of trillions. Sons of good family, I, in order to cause all those Tathagatas who are mentioned, such as Dipamkara Tathagata, etc., the Tathagatas, Arhats, perfectly enlightened Buddhas, to completely enter Nirvana. Sons of good family, I have skillfully emanated those accomplishments of teaching the Dharma. Sons of good family, furthermore, the Tathagata, having observed the faculties and the order of diligence of the sentient beings who come and gather, in this and that place speaks my name, and in this and that place speaks of myself as having completely entered Nirvana. With many different kinds of Dharma teachings, he completely satisfies sentient beings in such and such ways. Sons of good family, to those sentient beings who have different inclinations towards the Tathagata, who have small roots of virtue, and who have many afflictions, the Tathagata says this: "Monks, I am young, and it has not been long since I renounced the world, and monks, it has not been long since I attained the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment and became a Buddha." Sons of good family, all those Dharma teachings have been spoken by the Tathagata for the purpose of taming sentient beings. Sons of good family, whatever words the Tathagata has spoken for the purpose of taming sentient beings, whether spoken by himself or spoken by others, whether directed towards himself or directed towards others, whatever Dharma teachings the Tathagata has spoken, all of them are true, spoken by the Tathagata. In this regard, there is no false speech in the Tathagata. Why is that?
