It is not easy to understand! The heat of Nalisham, is it not also different in nature from Nalisham itself? It is not easy to establish as different in nature! Just as the heat of Nalisham is, so is the astringency of Arura. For example, the softness of cotton wool is not different in nature from cotton wool itself? It is not easy to establish as different in nature! For example, the essence of butter in butter is not different in nature from butter itself? It is not easy to establish as different in nature! For example, the impermanence of all conditioned things, and the suffering of all contaminated things, and the selflessness of all dharmas, are they not different in nature from them? It is not easy to establish as different in nature! O exceedingly pure of wisdom, for example, the nature of unpacified desire and the nature of all afflictions are not different in nature from desire? It is not easy to establish as different in nature! Just as with desire, so should hatred and delusion be understood. O exceedingly pure of wisdom, likewise, the nature of formations and the nature of ultimate reality are not different in nature? It is unbearable to establish as different in nature! O exceedingly pure of wisdom, I have thus awakened to perfect enlightenment the nature of ultimate reality, which is subtle, most subtle, most exhausted, difficult to realize, most difficult, and truly transcends from the nature of difference and non-difference. Having awakened to perfect enlightenment, I have also declared and clarified, distinguished, established, and well-shown it. Then, the Blessed One spoke these verses at that time: The realm of formations and the nature of ultimate reality are the nature of being separate from one and different, whoever distinguishes between one and different, those people have entered improperly. The one who is born, having practiced insight and, calm abiding, will be liberated from the bonds of the lower realms and, from the bonds of signs. The third chapter, the chapter on exceedingly pure wisdom, is complete. Third, the chapter on exceedingly pure wisdom.
