He dwells near the Bodhi tree. Then, in the southwest direction, in the Buddha-field of the Tathagata Precious Life-Root, in the world-realm of Precious Origin, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Precious Origin, being urged by that light, surrounded and attended by countless Bodhisattvas, went to where the essence of enlightenment was, and where the Bodhisattva was, and having gone there, for the sake of the work of offering to the Bodhisattva, manifested countless immeasurable jewel palaces in that surrounding courtyard. From those jewel palaces, this verse arose: Whoever gives away the earth with the ocean, and likewise pure jewels, mansions with star windows, excellent cool chambers, pairs and vehicles, adorned celestial palaces, flower garlands, beautiful places of assembly and gardens, hands, feet, heads and eyes, he dwells in the heart of enlightenment. Then, in the northwest direction, in the Buddha-field of the Tathagata Dragon Sound King, in the world-realm of Cloud-Endowed, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Cloud-Pile Dragon-Sound Voice, being urged by that light, surrounded and attended by countless Bodhisattvas, went to where the essence of enlightenment was, and where the Bodhisattva was, and having gone there, for the sake of the work of offering to the Bodhisattva, manifested clouds of agaru that follow the seasons, and rained down showers of sandalwood serpent-heart powder in that surrounding courtyard. From that mandala of clouds that follow the seasons, this verse also arose: The Dharma cloud of the light of knowledge and liberation pervades all three realms. It rains down the nectar of the true Dharma, free from desire, which obtains nirvana. It will cut off all the vines of attachment and afflictions, along with their imprints. It brings forth faith, causing the flowers of meditation, miraculous power, strength, and faculties to bloom. In the realm covered with a golden net, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Adorned with a Golden Net, inspired by that light, surrounded and preceded by countless Bodhisattvas, went to where the Bodhi tree was and where the Bodhisattva was. To worship the Bodhisattva, in all those pavilions and jeweled celestial palaces, they manifested Bodhisattva images well adorned with the thirty-two marks. All those Bodhisattva images held garlands of flowers from gods and humans, and bowing towards where the Bodhisattva was, arranged the garlands of flowers and spoke this verse: Whoever praises countless Buddhas of the past, increases great faith with reverence, speaks beautiful words with the voice of Brahma, I prostrate with my head to the one who goes to the Bodhi tree. Then, in the direction below, in the Buddha-field of the Tathagata Samantadarshin, in all the realms of the world, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Jewel Essence, inspired by that light, surrounded and preceded by countless Bodhisattvas, went to where the Bodhi tree was and where the Bodhisattva was. To worship the Bodhisattva, in that lapis lazuli enclosure, they showed the manifestation of golden lotuses of Jambudvipa. In the heart of those lotuses, half-bodied female images appeared, perfect in color and form, adorned with all ornaments. They held many kinds of ornaments in their left and right hands, such as necklaces, bracelets, armlets, gold threads, and pearl necklaces, and arranged flowers and silk ribbons, bowing towards where the Bodhi tree was and where the Bodhisattva was, and spoke this verse: Whoever always prostrates to the Buddhas, Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Lamas, is disciplined, always mindful, joyful, and without arrogance, one should prostrate to the one who possesses qualities. In the Buddha-field of the Lord of Assemblies, in the sacred realm of the assembly, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva named Akashagarbha, being urged by that light, surrounded and preceded by countless Bodhisattvas, went to where the essence of enlightenment was, to where the Bodhisattva was, and having gone there, for the sake of offering to the Bodhisattva, while dwelling in the middle of the sky, from all the Buddha-fields of the ten directions, rained down great showers of flowers never before seen or heard, incense, perfumes, garlands, unguents, powders, fumigation, clothes, ornaments, umbrellas, banners, flags, victorious mansions, precious things, jewels, gold, silver, pearls, horses, elephants, chariots, small armies, vehicles, trees, leaves, flowers, fruits, boys, girls, gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, Indra, Brahma, world protectors, humans, and non-humans, as many as there were, causing all beings to generate joy and happiness, without causing any fear or harm to any sentient being. Similarly, apply and call it this: From those ten directions, whichever sons of the victors, for the sake of benefiting, have arrived at enlightenment to be offered to, for the benefit of beings, listen to just an example of their arrangements, skills, order, and beautiful examples. Some, having thoroughly purified necklaces of blood-red color, descend from the sky roaring like dragons. Some show immeasurable flower mansions from the sky, holding precious diadems and hanging head ornaments as they descend. Some proclaim the supreme emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, and roar and descend from the earth like lions. Some scatter beautiful flowers never before seen, and roar and descend like excellent flocks. Some show the colors of their own bodies in emptiness, and roar and descend from the sky like peacocks.
