Whatever the desires of the gods, and whatever the good desires of humans, even if one person obtains all those desires, they are not satisfied and continue to seek. Which kings become peaceful and tamed, who understand the undefiled Dharma of the Noble Ones, the wise and learned are satisfied with that, it is the best satisfaction, there is no slight satisfaction in the merits of desires. The king relies on various desires, and there is no end to what has been accumulated before, just as people drink salt water, relying on desires only increases thirst. King, also look at the body, it is not stable, without essence, like a wheel of suffering, it always flows out from the nine holes. King, I have no attachment to desires, I have abandoned many desires, and thousands of beautiful women, desiring to attain supreme peace and enlightenment, I am destined to dislike samsara. The king of Magadha said there: From which direction did the monk come? Where were you born? Where do your parents reside? Are you a royal, a Brahmin, or a king? Monk, please speak, if there is no concept of burden. The Bodhisattva said to him: King, have you heard of the city of Kapilavastu of the Shakyas, extremely rich and prosperous? My father's name is Śuddhodana, desiring merit, I renounced there. The king of Magadha said: Seeing you is very good, it is excellent, from where you were born, I am also a student of that, I invited the desireless one with desire, please forgive me from your heart. When you attain enlightenment, please share the Dharma with me, that you reside in my country, I have truly obtained the greatest gain. Then, the king bowed to his feet, circumambulated with great reverence, the king surrounded by his people, and again entered the royal palace. The Protector of the World entered the city of Magadha, and resided as long as desired with a peaceful mind, working for the benefit of gods and humans, the king went to the bank of the Nairanjana River.
