第六，布施波罗蜜多品。 第六，布施波罗蜜多品。 其中，舍利子，对诸波罗蜜多精进是什么呢？舍利子，这六波罗蜜多就是。凡是对这六波罗蜜多精进的菩萨，就是行菩萨行。六者为何？即是：布施波罗蜜多、持戒波罗蜜多、忍辱波罗蜜多、精进波罗蜜多、禅定波罗蜜多、智慧波罗蜜多。这些就是六波罗蜜多。 其中，布施波罗蜜多是什么呢？舍利子，在此，菩萨是沙门、婆罗门和贫穷者的施主。例如，对饥饿者施食，对口渴者施水，还有车辆、衣服、香、花鬘、涂香、住所、用具、疾病的医药、灯、乐器、男仆、女仆、金、宝、珍珠、吠琉璃、海螺、玛瑙、珊瑚、一切珍宝、马、象、车乘、园林、苦行林、儿子、女儿、妻子、财物、谷物、仓库、粮仓、四大洲国王的受用安乐、一切嬉戏和喜悦，以及手、脚、耳朵、鼻子、眼睛、头、肉、血、胫、骨，对于任何乞求世间用具者，没有不施舍的。以十种方式清净地行布施。十者为何？菩萨不寻求不和合的受用而行布施。菩萨不作损害众生的布施。菩萨不作令人恐惧和害怕的布施。菩萨不作未舍弃而强求的布施。菩萨不面露

The Bodhisattva who is diligent in these six perfections practices the conduct of a Bodhisattva. What are the six? They are: the perfection of giving, the perfection of ethics, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, the perfection of meditation, and the perfection of wisdom. These are the six perfections. What is the perfection of giving? Shariputra, here, the Bodhisattva is the patron of mendicants, Brahmins, and the poor. For example, giving food to the hungry, drink to the thirsty, as well as vehicles, clothing, incense, garlands, ointments, dwellings, utensils, medicine for the sick, lamps, musical instruments, male servants, female servants, gold, jewels, pearls, lapis lazuli, conch shells, agate, coral, all kinds of precious things, horses, elephants, chariots, gardens, ascetic forests, sons, daughters, wives, wealth, grain, storehouses, granaries, all the pleasures of enjoyment of the kings of the four continents, all kinds of play and joy, as well as hands, feet, ears, noses, eyes, heads, flesh, blood, shanks, bones, and whatever worldly things are requested, there is nothing that is not given away. That giving is purified in ten ways. What are the ten? Bodhisattvas do not seek discordant enjoyments and give. Bodhisattvas do not give in a way that harms sentient beings.
