In as many world realms as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River in the corners, how many Buddhas, Blessed Ones, dwell together with the Sangha of Hearers, as well as Solitary Buddhas, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas, all of them uphold this Perfection of Wisdom. What is the reason for that? It is because all of them arise entirely from the Perfection of Wisdom. In as many world realms as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River in the southwest corner, how many Buddhas, Blessed Ones, dwell together with the Sangha of Hearers, as well as Solitary Buddhas, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, and mahoragas, all of them uphold this Perfection of Wisdom. What is the reason for that? It is because all of them arise entirely from the Perfection of Wisdom. 所有这些也都受持般若波罗蜜多。那是什么缘故呢？因为这样，所有这些都是从般若波罗蜜多中产生的。上方世界的恒河沙数佛土中，有多少佛陀薄伽梵与声闻僧众同住，以及独觉，菩萨摩诃萨，天，龙，夜叉，乾闼婆，阿修罗，紧那罗，迦楼罗，人非人等，所有这些也都受持般若波罗蜜多。那是什么缘故呢？因为这样，所有这些都是从般若波罗蜜多中产生的。然后，恶魔波旬心想：如来、阿罗汉、正等觉的四众眷属也显现了，欲界和色界的诸天也显现了，因此，菩萨摩诃萨们必定会在此地被授记为无上正等菩提。我应该去往世尊所在之处，制造障碍。想到这里，恶魔波旬幻化出四种军队，想要去往世尊所在之处。这时，天帝释提桓因心想：唉，恶魔波旬幻化出四种军队，想要去往世尊所在之处，恶魔波旬所幻化的这四种军队，即使是频婆娑罗王的四种军队也无法比拟，胜光王、释迦族和离车族的四种军队也无法比拟。这个恶魔波旬长久以来一直在寻找世尊的过失，寻找机会，并且对精进修行的众生怀有恼害之心。我应该守护般若波罗蜜多。

All of them also uphold this Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? Because all of them arise from the Perfection of Wisdom. In the world realms in the direction above, as many as the sands of the Ganges, how many Buddhas, Blessed Ones, together with their assemblies of Hearers, dwell, as well as Pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, kinnaras, garudas, and mahoragas, all of them also uphold this Perfection of Wisdom. Why is that? Because all of them arise from the Perfection of Wisdom. Then, the Evil One Mara thought to himself: 'The fourfold assembly of the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One has also appeared. The gods who enjoy in the desire realm and the form realm have also appeared. Therefore, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas will undoubtedly be prophesied here to unexcelled, perfect and complete awakening. I should go to where the Blessed One is and create obstacles.' Thinking this, the Evil One Mara manifested an army of four divisions and desired to go to where the Blessed One was. Then, Indra, the Lord of the Gods, thought to himself: 'Alas, the Evil One Mara has manifested an army of four divisions and desires to go to where the Blessed One is. The army of four divisions manifested by the Evil One Mara cannot be compared even to the army of four divisions of King Bimbisara, nor can it be compared to the army of four divisions of King Prasenajit, the Shakyas, and the Licchavis. This Evil One Mara has long been looking for faults in the Blessed One, seeking opportunities, and has a mind to harm beings who are truly diligent. I should protect the Perfection of Wisdom.'
