Praise, extreme praise. Have you heard of those? We have heard. Those were robbed by thieves. Those people said: Knowledgeable ones, take up bows and arrows! Take up shields and clubs! We are going to catch the thieves. The Six Groups said: Those were robbed a long time ago and have been robbed in other places. What should we do then? Give them clothes! They gave those people clothes suitable for great people. The Six Groups carried those clothes, handed them to the young men, and said: Take these to the monastery today! They took the clothes and went to the monastery. They went to the palace of King Prasenajit of Kosala and sat down ostentatiously. King Prasenajit of Kosala saw them and, feeling afraid, said: Holy ones, has no fault occurred? Gods, a fault has occurred. What happened? The gods praised, honored, extolled, and highly praised the forty monks of the city of Mālāvatī (梵文:Mālāvatī,梵文罗马拟音:Mālāvatī) whom the Blessed One praised in those Sutra endings. Have you heard of those? We have heard. They were robbed by thieves. The king commanded the general Aryasena: Go and quickly bring back the thieves and the stolen goods! The Six Groups said: Gods, those were robbed a long time ago and have been robbed in other places. What should we do then? Gods, give them clothes! The king gave each monk thirteen items. The Six Groups carried those clothes, handed them to the young men, and said: Take these to the monastery today! They took those clothes and went to the monastery. The forty monks of the city of Mālāvatī said: Venerables, let us go now! The Six Groups said: Long-lived ones, do not be too hasty! Did we not say to the long-lived ones from the beginning that if you are not harmed, we will also ask for thousands of cloths and large amounts of cloth for the sake of the young men? Those people, being commanded by the well-known and powerful monks, left without saying anything. Those

The forty bhikkhus began to look at each other's faces, and the six groups of bhikkhus said: Venerable ones, why are you looking at each other's faces? All the elders are old clothes! Venerable ones, these are knotted bedding and robes! These are mended monk's robes! These are mended lower skirts! These are mended shoulder coverings! If you don't like it, take it away, and you have to beg again. Alas! Venerable elders, it's okay not to beg for these! They took those old clothes to the temple to mend and dwell. Then, the Blessed One praised diligence, striving, and observing before acting, and said to the monks: Monks, therefore, in order to fully see the ten benefits, the training ground for the disciples of the hearers should be established in discipline, etc., as before. My disciples of the hearers should recite the training ground of discipline in this way: Has the monk's robe been robbed? Has the robe been lost? Has the robe been burned? Has the robe been carried away by the wind? If the robe has been carried away by the water, should go to the householder or the householder's wife, and beg for clothes from a non-relative.
