The chapter of Mirror Face. The chapter of Mirror Face. Below that, the king named Kungawo (ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་), who was widely described as having power. He had a son, from two to five, and the youngest of these sons had a face like a mirror, so his name was known as Mirror Face. All of them were raised and grew to be great. The young Mirror Face was pleasant and very gentle. The others were cruel, miserly, and rude. When they all gathered for their father's needs, they did not distinguish anything with wisdom. The young Mirror Face judged profound and deep questions with his own wisdom. King Kungawo (ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་) was afflicted with illness, and he thought: Who should I put in charge of the kingdom? If I put any of the four eldest sons in charge of the kingdom, they are cruel, miserly, and rude, and they will harm the people in an improper way. If I put the young Mirror Face in charge of the kingdom, then the relatives will say: Now this king has abandoned his eldest sons and is putting the youngest son in charge of the kingdom, what is the meaning of this? Therefore, he thought, I must devise a plan. So, he placed three jewels, and what is called the queen's entourage, and six things to be distinguished with wisdom, and then he said to the ministers: O nobles, after I die, you should examine the young men one by one, who can properly divide the jeweled shoes, who can sit unmoving on the lion throne, who can wear the headdress steadily, and the queen's entourage, and the six things to be distinguished with wisdom, namely the inner treasure, the outer treasure, the inner and outer treasure, the treetop treasure, the mountaintop treasure, and the riverside treasure, whoever possesses all of these, then after I die, you should put him in charge. After he said this, because "the end of accumulation is exhaustion, and the end of height is falling," he died. Those ministers tried to put the jeweled shoes on the eldest son, but no matter what...

It's not suitable! If placed on a lion throne, it sways. If a headdress is put on, it sways even more. The concubines didn't say anything either. If he were to speak of the six things to be examined individually with wisdom, he wouldn't understand. The younger brothers were the same. If the young Mirror Face were to wear jeweled shoes, it would be very fitting. If he sits on a lion throne, he will not sway. If he wears a headdress, the crown of his head will appear full. The concubines also spoke respectfully, and the ministers said, "Now, with wisdom, we must still examine the six things to be examined individually: the inner treasure, the outer treasure, the inner and outer treasure, the treetop treasure, the mountaintop treasure, and the waterside treasure." Mirror Face thought, "What is the inner treasure?" The inner treasure is the treasure inside the threshold. "What is the outer treasure?" The outer treasure is the treasure outside the threshold. "What is the inner and outer treasure?" It is the treasure under the threshold. "What is the treetop treasure?" It is the treasure in the place covered by the shadow of the tree where the king sits when the sun is at its zenith. "What is the mountaintop treasure?" It is the treasure under the bathing stone slab in the pond where the king plays. "What is the waterside treasure?" It is the treasure at the edge of the drain where the house's water flows. If those ministers examined everything individually, they would find those treasures, and then they would enthrone him as king. King Mirror Face became powerful. In another mountain lived a Brahmin named Daubed, who stole some oxen from a householder, plowed the fields with them, and then drove the oxen to the householder's house. After a while, when the householder returned, the Brahmin Daubed drove the oxen into the cave, but the oxen came out of another entrance and left. When the householder finished eating and stood up, the oxen were nowhere to be seen, so he seized the Brahmin Daubed and asked, "Where are the oxen?" He said, "Didn't you put them in the house?" You put my oxen

The robber said: Please give me back the ox. He said: I did not rob it. He said: King Mirror Face is a wise man, go to him. He will investigate this matter and show us what is reasonable and unreasonable. Having said that, the two of them set off. A wild mare of a man ran away, and he said to the stick-holder: The wild mare is mine. He said: How to stop it? With what ability? He picked up a stone and hit it on the head, and the horse died. The man said: You killed my wild mare, please give me a wild mare. Why give a wild mare? He said: Come, go to King Mirror Face, he will mediate our dispute. Having said that, they went there. The stick-holder started to run away, and he jumped down from a wall. Under the wall was a weaver weaving cloth, and he fell on the weaver, and the weaver died, and the stick-holder was also caught by the weaver's wife. She said: You killed my husband, please give me my husband. I said: How can I give you your husband? She said: Come, go to King Mirror Face, he will judge our dispute. Having said that, they set off. In the middle of the road there was a deep river, and a carpenter was walking from this side to the other with an axe in his mouth, and the stick-holder said to him: How deep is the water? The carpenter threw down the axe and said: The water is very deep. The axe fell into the water, and he grabbed the stick-holder and said: You put my axe in the water. I said: I did not. Come, go to King Mirror Face, he will mediate our dispute. They tiredly took the stick-holder and entered a hotel. The hotel owner gave birth to a boy, and she covered the boy with clothes and put him to sleep, and the stick-holder was there. He said: There is a child, there is a child. After a while, he looked and the child was dead, and she grabbed the stick-holder and said: You killed my son, please give me my son. He said: I did not kill, why should I give you a son? She said: Come, go to the King
