名为《佛陀之法光明广大显八经》的经。一卷。顶礼一切佛陀和菩萨。如是我闻。一时，世尊释迦牟尼佛住在珍宝楼阁中。十方菩萨和天龙八部等众供养赞叹世尊。大众中，菩萨无碍合掌向世尊禀告说：世尊，赡部洲的众生，从无始以来就在生死轮回中流转。有智慧的众生少，无知的众生多。持戒的少，不持戒的多。精进的少，懈怠放逸的多。长寿的少，短命的多。有财富受用的少，财富受用小的多。安乐的少，痛苦的多。对于上师的教诫和叮嘱，都置之不理。下等之人无法从八苦中解脱。把非法说成是法。由于邪见，许多众生短命而夭折，如何能让他们从众多痛苦中解脱，并遣除贫困呢？世尊回答说：无碍，善哉！善哉！菩萨你为了利益和慈悲众多众生而提问，我来讲述，你谛听。过去的诸佛也曾宣说过。现在我也要宣说，你谛听。未来的诸佛也将会宣说。而且，在众生之中，没有比人更殊胜的了。即使获得了人身，也无法享用美好的荣耀。违背了正确的见解。幻化和非天等以多种罪恶的方式造作，因此如果将此显八作为本尊来念诵，就能从中解脱一切罪恶和不善业。寿命增长，不会被夭折所阻碍。将会具有功德。即使寿命耗尽，也能获得阿罗汉的果位。有些人不修善法，因此会出现许多疾病和各种不祥之兆。

The Sutra called "The Buddha's Dharma, Clear and Vast, Manifesting Eight." One fascicle. Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Thus have I heard. At one time, the Blessed One, Shakyamuni Buddha, was dwelling in a jeweled multi-storied mansion. Bodhisattvas from the ten directions, along with the eight classes of gods and demons, were making offerings and praising the Blessed One. From within the great assembly, the Bodhisattva Unobstructed, with palms joined, beseeched the Blessed One, saying: "Blessed One, the sentient beings of Jambudvipa have been revolving in the cycle of birth and death since beginningless time. Sentient beings who possess knowledge are few, while those who are ignorant are many. Those who uphold morality are few, while those who do not uphold morality are many. Those who are diligent are few, while those who are lax and distracted are many. Those who are long-lived are few, while those who are short-lived are many. Those who possess wealth and enjoyment are few, while those who have little wealth and enjoyment are many. Those who are happy are few, while those who suffer are many. They disregard the instructions and admonishments of their lamas. Inferior beings never escape the eight sufferings. They say that what is not Dharma is Dharma. Due to wrong views, many sentient beings die young and prematurely. How can we liberate them from many sufferings and avert poverty?" The Blessed One replied: "Unobstructed, excellent! Excellent! Bodhisattva, you have asked for the benefit and compassion of many sentient beings. I will explain, listen carefully. Many Buddhas of the past have also explained this. Now I will also explain, listen carefully. The Buddhas of the future will also explain this. Furthermore, among sentient beings, there is none more noble than humans. Even if one obtains a human body, one cannot enjoy the splendor of goodness. One deviates from the correct view. Illusions and asuras, etc., commit many kinds of sins. Therefore, if one makes this Manifesting Eight one's personal deity and recites it, one will be liberated from all sins and non-virtuous deeds. One's lifespan will increase, and one will not be obstructed by premature death. One will possess qualities. Even if one's lifespan is exhausted, one will attain the fruit of an Arhat. Some people do not practice virtuous Dharma, therefore many diseases and various inauspicious omens will arise.

因此，从极大的痛苦中与善知识相遇，如果将这《八光明经》读诵三遍，许多疾病也会痊愈，各种不祥之兆也无法加害。五无间罪也能得以清净。慈爱、悲悯、喜悦、舍弃，以及与佛法不相混杂的八种功德也将获得。无论何人，男女皆同，如果想要移动城池，读诵此《八光明经》三遍，无论是垒砌墙壁，开启门扉，挖掘水井，建造灶台，舂米，决定自身命运，或者建造仓库和牲畜的围栏，都将顺利。东方、西方、南方、北方的方位神祇，星曜，恶劣的星宿，仇敌，田地的灾害，形似黄色豹子尾巴的事物，土地神煞，五种土地神灵，青龙，白虎，红鸟，黑龟，以及被六个骰子覆盖且无法言说的所有行为，都能被断除。能断除猛烈、善恶、圆满、平等、恒常、执一、分离、聆听、成就、聚集、土地的主人、黑色、近黑色、天神、龙族、一切鬼神。无论是务农，还是路途遥远，无论去往何处，读诵《八光明经》三遍，在异地他乡都不会有灾祸，并且能迅速返回，子女孝顺父母，财富稳固，安乐吉祥。即使进入寺庙或猛兽出没之地，龙和猛兽也会逃离。即使面临诉讼或被囚禁，也能迅速获得解脱。即使进入火中，火也无法烧伤。即使进入水中，水也无法淹没。刀剑和敌人也无法伤害。各种毒药也会像食物甘露一样转变，毒药也无法伤害。如果子女为了父母可能遭受的罪业而担忧，读诵此《八光明经》三遍，父母就能从无间地狱中解脱，转生到天界。此《八光明经》所在之处，八大菩萨，梵天，帝释天，四大天王

Therefore, from great suffering, one encounters a virtuous spiritual friend. If one recites this "Eight Lights Sutra" three times, many illnesses will be cured, and various inauspicious omens will not be able to harm. The sins of the five heinous crimes will also be purified. Loving-kindness, compassion, joy, equanimity, and the eight virtues unmixed with Buddhist teachings will also be obtained. Whoever it may be, male or female alike, if one intends to move a city, reciting this "Eight Lights Sutra" three times will ensure success in building walls, opening doors, digging wells, building stoves, husking rice, determining one's own destiny, or constructing warehouses and livestock enclosures. The directional deities of the east, west, south, and north, the planets, the evil stars, enemies, field disasters, things resembling the tail of a yellow leopard, land spirits, the five types of land deities, the Azure Dragon, the White Tiger, the Red Bird, the Black Tortoise, and all unspeakable actions covered by six dice can be cut off. It can cut off fierceness, good and evil, completeness, equality, constancy, clinging to one, separation, listening, accomplishment, gathering, the lord of the land, blackness, near blackness, gods, nagas, and all ghosts and spirits. Whether farming or traveling far, wherever one goes, reciting the "Eight Lights Sutra" three times will ensure no misfortune in foreign lands and a swift return. Children will be filial to their parents, wealth will be stable, and there will be peace and auspiciousness. Even if one enters a temple or a place frequented by wild animals, dragons and wild animals will flee. Even if facing litigation or imprisonment, one will quickly be liberated. Even if one enters fire, the fire will not burn. Even if one enters water, the water will not drown. Swords and enemies will not harm. Various poisons will also transform like food and nectar, and poison will not harm. If children worry about the sins their parents may suffer, reciting this "Eight Lights Sutra" three times will liberate their parents from the Avici Hell and lead them to be reborn in the heavens. Wherever this "Eight Lights Sutra" resides, the Eight Great Bodhisattvas, Brahma, Indra, the Four Great Kings
