In the Indian language: Arya Jaya Bati Nama Dharani. In Tibetan: The Dharani called "Noble Victorious One." I prostrate to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Thus have I heard at one time. The Blessed One was in Rajagriha, on Vulture Peak Mountain, together with a great Sangha of monks, complete with a thousand monks. Then, the great leader of the Yakshas, Vajrapani, went to where the Blessed One was, and having arrived, bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One, and said to the Blessed One: For the sake of compassion for all sentient beings, for the benefit of all sentient beings, and for the benefit and happiness of human kings, please, Blessed One, Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, speak this great vidya mantra queen called the Victorious One. Then, the Blessed One, with compassion, looked at the great leader of the Yakshas, Vajrapani, and spoke the great vidya mantra queen, the Victorious One: Vajrapani, listen, this vidya mantra queen called the Victorious One, spoken and blessed by countless billions of Buddhas, for the benefit, happiness, and compassion of all sentient beings, I will now also speak, listen well.
