The Self-Entry of Chö: Dream, Pure Vision, and Prophecy. The Self-Entry of Chö: Dream, Pure Vision, and Prophecy. (Ja) This is a profound instruction called "The Self-Entry of Chö: Dream, Pure Vision, and Prophecy." Namo Guru Jñana Dakiniye. Root and lineage lamas, yidam dakini assembly, from the heart I pray, grant blessings and siddhis. Because many scholars and siddhas, such as Sakya Pandita, spoke erroneously about dream dharma and so on, although I do not trust dream dharma, because I had previously received the Chö empowerment well, later it became known to all to take self-entry. Therefore, I wonder if there is any fault in writing this. The way to take self-entry in the Chö tradition, especially in the secret Chö tradition, is clearly seen. Therefore, since it is not just my own creation, please grant permission from the dakinis to write this. That is, when I, the monk Ra Ga Asya, was in retreat, my eldest son, Thuwobo Balpo, the realized one, was preparing to go to a dangerous place to perform Chö in a dangerous place. It was the morning of the fifteenth day of the Saga month in the Year of the Rabbit. My body was in a lotus position, my speech was reciting the Vajra, and my mind was absorbed in the samadhi of blending the visualization. When I was slightly relaxed, in a dream, no one else spoke or taught me. It was not for my own practice, nor was it a manifestation of my mind or thought, but the profound self-entry of the Chö empowerment, which I had never had in my mind before, arose spontaneously in my mind. I thought that the five victorious ones were sitting in the sky in front of me on their respective thrones of lions and elephants. In my vision, there was only a slight clarity of body color, and my own five consciousnesses were blended with the five families. A realization arose that the meaning of the empowerment had arisen in my being. In order to examine whether this was contrary to or in accordance with the teachings, I compared some examples of Chö empowerment and the words of Machig, and found that these and my own experiences were in accordance with the meaning. Moreover, since the self-entry of empowerment is widely known, and mainly teaches non-elaboration samadhi, I began to write this self-entry from that evening. PHAṬ. My own body is empty like a hollow reed, clearly appearing with the three channels and four chakras. On the right sole of my foot is the white bindu obtained from the father, and on the left sole of my foot is the bindu obtained from the mother.
