Homage! Since there is not even a single word That is without benefit and meaningless, Whatever you say, please accomplish it. The pillars of the Sage's teachings Are only the three: hearing, thinking, And meditating. Hearing is the completion of learning. Understanding its meaning is thinking. Thinking about its meaning is practicing. If practice has matured, then practicing Dharma With just one method is sufficient. Without mature practice and thinking, And without certainty about life, Who will die first, old or young, No one can predict. Only a few die of old age. Therefore, child, you should know That you should make these three Dharma practices your yidam. Diseases, evil spirits, untimely death, etc., Protecting from all fears, Seven hundred million Buddhas, After empowering and blessing, The method to be born in Sukhavati, The long mantra of the Noble Tara Was spoken by the Bhagavan Vairochana. Translating it into Tibetan, The twenty-one Taras are this, Therefore, practice it in this way. In front, a lotus flower, The trunk of an inconceivable tree, With leaves covering the sky, Bearing fruits of the eight auspicious symbols, And countless jewels. The flower at the top of the trunk, With twenty petals, A single one that is extremely vast. Opening upwards like a bowl, In the center and on the petals, The full moon of the fifteenth day, Visualize laying out twenty-one seats. From here, in the southern direction of the sun, From the peak of Mount Potala, The venerable twenty-one Taras, Like a flash of lightning in an instant, Coming upon the precious moon, The main deity, Green Tara, residing, Named Tara of the Khadira Forest, Emerald-like in color, one face, Two hands, the right one in the mudra of bestowing blessings, The left one holding a stem of an Utpala flower. Adorned with silk and precious jewels, On the crown of her head resides Amitabha. Both feet residing in a playful posture. The retinue of twenty Taras, With many faces and hands, difficult to remember, Therefore, according to the way Jowo-je saw them, All with one face and two hands, Just believing that they reside is sufficient. Focus on the main deity, Transform your own body into countless particles, Prostrate and offer various offerings, Even if there are no actual offerings, The enjoyments of gods, humans, and nagas Of the three thousand worlds and ten directions.
