Like Mount Meru, O King radiating light, please bestow the complete and supreme empowerment. (Tibetan) རྩ་སྔགས། (Sanskrit Devanagari) सर्वा अभिषिञ्चन्तु। (Sanskrit Romanization) sarva abhiṣiñcatu. (Literal Chinese meaning) All empower. Place this at the navel. When wind, bile, phlegm, etc., the four great elements are disturbed, the antidote to disease, the haritaki in the right hand, the supreme king of medicine, may there be auspiciousness! Scatter flowers with this. This pacifies the diseases that harm the balance of the three doors, and it is the placement of the seed of the nature of the fruit. Then, bless with the torma: Holding the torma in your hand, visualize this torma as the Medicine Buddha, coming to the crown of your heads. From the heart, rays of various colors radiate, and from the Buddha-fields of the east, the Eight Sugata Medicine Buddhas, along with their retinues, the large ones like Mount Meru, the small ones like mustard seeds, speech as a chain of mantras, the heart with haritaki vases filled with nectar, immeasurably like a blizzard of snow, come and dissolve into you, like snow falling into a lake. Thus, the blessings of the Eight Sugata Medicine Buddhas along with their retinues, and the kindness of their prayers, may I receive them right now, please pray with one-pointed devotion! May all the karmic obscurations and afflictive obscurations of these practitioners be purified! May all the entrances to samsara and the lower realms be cut off! May they be liberated from all demons, obstacles, and hindrances! May all diseases arising from the combination of wind, bile, and phlegm be pacified! May all untimely deaths, curses, and all evil circumstances be averted! May all auspiciousness and well-being increase! May they be reborn in a pure Buddha-field at the time of death and quickly attain Buddhahood, please grant your blessings! After the root mantra: ཀཱ་ཡ་ཝཱཀ་ཙིཏྟ་སརྦ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ་སྭཱ་ཧཱཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning: body speech mind all empower Om Ah Hum Svaha). Then scatter flowers, like the sun dispelling the darkness of ignorance, like the moon dispelling the suffering of afflictions, the Medicine Buddha who cures the diseases of the three poisons, may the light of lapis lazuli be auspicious! Now, for the purpose of the recitation transmission of the mantra, please follow along with the intention of offering a garland of flowers. World Honored One, please accept me, please guide me. Three times or once. Now, visualize that from the heart of the guru and the visualized deity in front, a mantra garland like molten lapis lazuli emerges, enters your mouths, and abides around the Hum syllable in your hearts, and then follow along in reciting this mantra. ཏདྱ་ཐཱ། ཨོཾ་བྷཻ་ཥ་ཛྱཻ་བྷེ་ཥ་ཛྱཻ་མ་ཧཱ་བྷཻ་ཥ་ཛྱཻ་རཱ་ཛ་ས་མུཏྒ་ཏེ་སྭཱ་ཧཱཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning: Om, bekandze bekandze maha bekandze radza samutgate svaha). Recite once or three times. Then visualize the mantra garland transforming into a garland of flowers and being tied on your head. Place the vajra on the crown of the head, World Honored One, please grant this to this person, please guide this person. May the blessings and vows of the Tathagata Medicine Buddha, King of Lapis Lazuli Light, now enter and be firmly established in these vajra disciples! ཨོཾ་སུ་པྲ་ཏིཥྛ་བཛྲ་ཡེ་སྭཱ་ཧཱཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning: Om, Supratistha Vajra ye Svaha). With the eye of wisdom, gaze upon all beings, with the eye of compassion, pervade all beings, the Medicine Buddha who cures the diseases of the three poisons, may the light of lapis lazuli be auspicious! Thus, scatter flowers. By this, the empowerment of the Sugata Medicine Buddha is well received, from now on, take refuge and pay homage to the Medicine Buddha, King of Lapis Lazuli Light. This passage is recited one hundred times for the best, twenty-one times for the medium.
